My Perfect Start!

Chapter 4

The next day arrived with Sunshine, the rays were gently kissing my face. I opened my eyes with a yawn and looked at the time it was 10:00 am. I walked to the window and my eyes fell on the Pink rosebud, It was fully bloomed. A genuine smile crossed my lips, I clicked one picture and uploaded it on my Insta story. I took a bath and made a tea and sipped it down. I sent her one Good morning snap. I started to have my breakfast listening to some Romantic songs. The first one on my list was 'Mistletoe' by Justin Bieber. My eyes again rolled up on her Insta account and I started to like them. A notification popped up on my Snapchat, it was; 'Good Morning.' and 'Stalker huh! Haha'.

I started to smile continuously, and my heart started to beat fast again. I guess I found my better half finally! But how to confess was the major thing, I decided to wait for a few days more. As the time was going fast between us, I found that this girl has the need and interest to get into a relationship, and even I wanted one for many years. I got scared from the thought that what if I waited for more days to confess my feelings, and some other guy took her. My Life was changed after her arrival. I would use to quickly pick up my phone whenever I would listen to the notification. I wanted to see her again, and most importantly there were many things similar between us. And after one week I decided to tell her. It was around 12:30 in the night when I texted her.

'Hey, had dinner?'

'Hii, kabka!'

'And Say'

'Btw Thanks.'

'Arey for what?'

'For motivating me.'

'Arey, thanks kya usmein.'

'By the way, he even texted me here on Snapchat that, what happened. I told him that I don't want to be with you anymore.'

'Good, by the way...'

'Yaa?'

'Umm. will you run behind such a guy who doesn't value you, respect you or will you give all your efforts to a genuine guy like me who looks at his phone within every half an hour, and quickly picks up the phone when a notification pops up...'

'OMG, REALLY?'

My heart rate was palpitating in between and my fingers were shivering.

'Sneha, are you serious?' I texted this and left my phone, I covered my mouth in shock and the hair on my neck stood up. I could hear my breath, AC was throwing chilly winds. I was breathing fast, and I was smiling. I was lost somewhere deep when a notification sound from my phone distracted me.

'Ya, let's meet often, and will see.'

'Oh my god! Thank you, you positively took the proposal.'

'Hehe, why? Chill!'

'Last year, I had one crush, I confessed to her and after that thing, she didn't even talk with me.'

'Damnn, by the way, you did the right thing by confessing it now.'

'I know right!'

'Then say, when should we meet next?'

'I'll let you know... Maybe Thursday?'

'Works with me.'

'Yeah, Sorted.'

'Cool then.'

'So should we sleep now?'

'I am not sleepy yet. Let's speak!'

I was loving her positive attitude and her openness towards me, and I thanked God that she positively took my proposal. It was all dreamy for me, I switched off the spotlights, reduced the AC to 16 degrees, and curled myself in blankets, and opened the Instagram. I was busy scrolling her reels, admiring her beauty, and talking to her in between the seconds on Snapchat. Finally, my destiny dropped a bowl of beautiful happiness in my life.

The next day I was having my breakfast with my Mum, dad, and sister. The table was decorated with Upmas, Pohas, Apples, and a jug of Real juice. Didi was busy serving when my phone popped up with a notification, there was a Good Morning snap from her. I quickly took the photo of the table and typed 'Good Morning! Breakfast time. What about you?' I typed it and placed the phone on the table again, and started to eat. Within a minute, my phone rang with the notification, I ignored it as I was having breakfast, and my dad was also glancing at me, so I dropped the plan to pick the phone.

'So Parth, how are your studies going?' he asked and took a deep slurp of tea.

'Ya dad, they are going fine.' I said taking after taking a spoonful of poha.

'Good, you should concentrate more now, Exams are coming from next month right?'

'Ya, I have started studying.' I replied, took my phone, and walked inside my bedroom.

I quickly opened the Snap, there was a cute mirror selfie of her, with the caption 'Yeah done!' She was looking resplendent as her eyes were perfectly stroked with the Black Eyeliner, Red Anarkali with golden jhumke which added more glamour to her overall personality. I quickly clicked my selfie too with the caption, 'Woah! Looking beautiful. Going somewhere out?'

'Yeah, going to Andheri at my Mami's house.'

'Oh good, Have a nice day.'

'Yeah, you too.'
