Days were passing between us, and my feelings were growing day by day. We would use to talk mostly in the night after 11 till 1 or sometimes till 2. We would use to talk about our past life, our family problems, and our future and career plans. We would use to meet twice a week and wander over Belapur and here and there. Sometimes Parsik was our best place to walk and have a really good conversation. As it was a hilly region, and it was the month of July there was total greenery all over the road. On one hazy day when I was busy watching The office around 11 in the morning, her text popped up; 'Should I call you now?'
'Ha ok' I replied, and her call came.
'Hey, what's up?' I said.
'Parth, tomorrow we have our dance practice at my friend's house in Panvel. Can you come tomorrow? I'll introduce you to my friends.'
'At what time?'
'I will leave early from here at 8:30 in the morning, you can meet me at the Kharghar bus stop around 8:45.'
'Cool works.'
'So you are in?'
'Yeah, bas kal call kar dena subeh! Haha!'
'Maar khayga tu!'
'Just kidding re.'
The next morning around 8:15, when I was busy setting my hair in the mirror, my mom came and glanced at me.
'Are you going on a date or what?' she said and giggled.
'No maa! I am going to Anand's home for the assignment work.' I shrugged.
'Ok, till what time will you return?'
'Maybe 4 or 5'
'Okay, paise hai na?'
'Ha maa... Chalo I'll leave now.' I said, quickly grabbed my bag and left the house.
I reached the Kharghar Bus stop at 8:40. I coordinated with her on the call, so that I can get the same bus. Buses went late due to traffic so I got the bus at 9:00 and started to search the seats, and I spotted her. I sat beside her and smelled her perfume, It was Yardley.
'Hey, Good Morning.' I said and looked at her attire. She was in her blue kurta. Her hairs were perfectly swaying over the winds, as the window was open.
'Good Morning!' she said and tied them with rubber. My heart skipped a beat.
'Where are we going exactly in Panvel?' I asked.
'Usarli'
'Oh, I see.' I replied with my eyes pasted on her, but then the conductor interrupted.
'Oh, ticket bola!'
'Kaka, 2 Panvel depot dya' I said and handed twenty rupee note to him.
There was silence between both of us for a minute, and then later I broke the ice by saying.
'When are you going to reply to me? Kitna tadap raha hu pata hai.' I said and tried to make her laugh, and yes she started to giggle. She hit my shoulder lightly and said.
'Abhi toh main ek saal tak reply nahi dungi.'
'Noo! Fir itne jaldi confess karne ka kya faayda.' I said.
She pulled my cheeks and said,
'You are cute.'
I couldn't pen down my thoughts at that moment, it was so special. I can only say that blood was rushing very fast in between my nerves.
