My Perfect Start!

Chapter 10

Now there was only a week remaining for my exam. I was solving some General knowledge questions of Indian Cinema and was gaining more and more information about Satyajit Ray Films and the Golden era. I would use it to solve previous papers. I would also meet Sneha, on Alternate days in the morning for one hour. My exam was on Sunday so on Friday night when I was busy watching Pather Panchali, a notification popped up.

'Hey! You free tomorrow? You have to be!'

'Hey, what happened?'

'I have planned a surprise, be here at my place at 11 in the morning tomorrow.'

'11... Ya okay. But what is the thing?'

'Tomorrow you'll get to know... Chalo mom is calling, see you tomorrow. bye.'

'Ya, bye.'

It was 1:30 and still half an hour of the film was remaining, but this sudden message from Honey made me restless. I switched off the TV and pressed my back against the bed. I realized that I have studied too much in a week that many things were revolving around my brain. I applied some balm over my head and curled myself in the blanket. The next day I got up at 9:30, I woke up with a jerk and saw my dad who was leaving for office. I went to take a bath. I got dressed up and combed my hair well and trimmed my beard a little bit. I told my mom that there was a little bit of work in the college, so I'll come in two hours. I wore my favorite sneakers and left the house. I reached her place and took her.

'Hey, so what's the plan?' I asked looking at her smiling face.

'We have to go to Froyoland, I am giving the treat.' she said.

'Damnn! but achanak se?'

'You have your exams tomorrow, so for your best luck, I am giving my first treat to you. All will be fine.' she said making a puppy face.

I pulled her cheeks and she sat back on the scooty and we drove to Vashi. This day was also sunny, she grabbed my waist and held me tightly. We reached the store and she paid for the desserts. We made our customizable desserts with various toppings of KitKat, Gems, and other many more things! I don't know-how about a couple of months back my life was a boring piece of shit, I would use to sit home daily, but as my Honey entered my life, things changed. I started moving out of my comfort zone and wander here and there spending out some time on my relationship.

'All the best Babe for your exams, write well!' she said and feed me a spoonful of her dessert.

'Yes! I'll dream of you will writing the paper, it will be easier for me then.' I said.

'You must concentrate there on your exam, not on me. Haha!' she said and planted one peck on my cheek.

'Thank you for the treat.'

'Welcome! By the way, what are the timings for Sunday?'

'There are two papers of 90 minutes, from 2 to 5.' I said with a clear voice.

'Good, please do concentrate on the exam, not on me while writing.' she said and laughed.

She took her bag on the lap, unzipped it, and handed me a diary of hers. It was a small brown-colored diary.

'Do read this after going home. It will be really good if you read it at night.' she said and looked at me directly into the eye.

'What is this Honey?' I asked.

'Just go and read it, and be careful where you keep it.' she said and chuckled.

'Ya, don't worry.' I replied with a chuckle too.
