TW: Men who can't take hints
It was clear to everyone that Eddie got jealous whenever someone flirted with Buck on a call. It makes sense that you would if someone flirted with your partner, everyone would get a little jealous. Everyone on the call can sense his jealousy and tries their best not to laugh as they work. Eddie learned to let it roll off his back, because the only reason they keep talking to him is because he knows Buck is too polite to say anything. In the end, if they ever try to ask him out, he gently lets them down, so Eddie could normally keep his emotions under control. But today. Oh man, today! They were on a call at a local bar, a woman fell and couldn't feel her ankle. Chimney and Hen worked on the woman, while Bobby asked her some questions and Eddie stood close, waiting for instructions. Buck's job was to keep people out of the way and assure them the woman was going to be fine. Everything seemed to be going just fine. Until the group of 4 men surrounded Buck.
Eddie looked up to see a group of men walking towards Buck, and his jealousy meter slowly went up. At first, it seemed like Buck had everything under control, he was giving polite smiles and nodding to what they were saying. But then, one man said something, and the team watched as Buck literally froze. A look of slight discomfort crossed his face, and he took an almost unnoticeable step back. The men, however, took a step closer. Eddie's blood started boiling, he didn't notice when Bobby stopped talking to the woman. He didn't notice that everyone else in the bar started to watch the situation. Apparently, neither did the group of men. They kept talking to Buck, discreetly closing in around him. He was obviously becoming extremely uncomfortable, Bobby could recognize the panicked look in his eyes. The bartender kept glancing over at them, ready to step in at any time, and he wasn't the only one. The tables closer to them also looked ready to step in if need be, which put the team a little at ease but not much. Eddie's jealousy meter exploded when the closest man to Buck grabbed his hips and pulled him close. Buck immediately pushed away fearfully, but the man grabbed his wrist and pulled him back into him.
Eddie was about to go full blown military on the jackasses, but he was too late. A group of by-standing men and women quickly jumped in, yanking and pushing the men away from Buck, creating a mini protection circle. The bartender made a call as soon as the man laid hands on Buck, and the security came in almost immediately. The team really wanted to go check in on Buck, but they were still on a call. They finished up checking the woman's ankle, it was a minor sprain, and went over to where Buck was surrounded. Close to everyone was asking Buck if he was okay and apologizing for the mens' behavior. The bartender assured Buck that the men were banned from the bar, and offered him a free drink, which he politely declined. Of course, Eddie thought. Of course he's back to being the same old polite and generous Buck. Eddie noticed Buck's hands shaking and he shot Buck a reassuring look. He gave a small smile in return.
The ride back to the station was full of Hen, Chimney, Bobby, and Eddie cursing out the men. Buck tried multiple times to get them to calm down about the whole thing, but they kept on ranting. Hen actually texted Athena about it, and not 5 minutes later, Buck got a call from her.
"Hey Athena!"
"Hello, Buck dear. I'm gonna need you to give me a description of those men you ran into today." That was a fun phone call. He didn't tell her, but Eddie snatched his phone and told her where the bar was. The bartender probably knew who they were. Buck kinda felt back for the guys.
He just got done putting away the Valentine's day decorations when he felt someone grab his arm and pull him into the bathroom. Buck looked to see Eddie, leaning on the door with his arms crossed. Is he mad? I hope he's not mad, I'll just apologize. He started to say something, but Eddie gently placed a hand over his mouth. Buck furrowed his eyebrows, confusion clear on his face. Eddie pulled him closer by his belt and kissed him. He melted into the kiss, subconsciously relieved he wasn't mad. The two made-out for a while, enjoying the closeness of each other.
"I see you're making Buck feel better." Buck and Eddie looked to see Hen smirking in the doorway. Buck turned redder then hell and covered his face, while Eddie just looked annoyed they were interrupted.
"Next time, knock. Cover for us. Thanks." Hen stopped the door before he could shut it again.
"What exactly are you going to do?" Eddie's eyes glinted darkly.
"Teach Buck to not be so polite." He shut the door and locked it this time, turning back to Buck. Buck suddenly felt ridiculously nervous. He tried to stumble out an apology, tripping up on his words and stuttering awkwardly. Eddie stood there watching with a grin on his face, before casually stalking closer and pressing Buck up against the wall. Buck froze before sending him a glare.
"We're at work, idiot!" Eddie pressed a kiss on Buck's forehead before moving down and leaving a mark on his neck.
"I know, amor. This is just a preview of what's gonna happen tonight." Buck cursed at him halfheartedly, pushing him off and checking the noticeability. He grumbled in slight annoyance.
"I hate you so much."
"I love you too!"
