30. Awake.

Taeyeon opened her eyes, only to see someone lying on her body. She was a woman and her hair was dark brown but not black, so this was not her mom. She frowned for a moment, but then she let out a scream of relief—she had come back!

Yes! She had come back!

She had tried all the methods she could think of except for calling 009. If she had called 009 earlier, wouldn't she have been awake long ago?

At this thought, Taeyeon almost burst into tears at her own stupidity. Perhaps it was because she regretted not calling 009 earlier, or perhaps it was because she was too excited at her return, but she ended up really crying; tears continued to uncontrollably fall from her eyes.

Lin Ru, startled by her scream, stared blankly at her and then as if relieved, she hugged Taeyeon tightly and burst into tears, saying, "Darling, you finally woke up. I was so scared."

Taeyeon hadn't recovered from her excitement yet. At this time, she really needed someone to share her joy with, so she also hugged Lin Ru, crying and laughing. She was finally back. She could go to find Stephan and tell him not to be sad, tell him she was still alive.

Lin Ru was delighted at being hugged by Taeyeon. She said excitedly, "Thank you, Erika. Thank you for forgiving me."

Hearing her voice, Taeyeon released Lin Ru slightly and left her arms. A bit surprised to see Lin Ru, she smiled embarrassedly and asked, "Why are you here?"

Lin Ru was slightly hurt by Taeyeon's actions, but she maintained her composure and said, "You've been in a coma for many days. I was so worried about you..."

"Thanks." Taeyeon smiled and took a look at the clock on the wall; it was morning. Lin Ru had to have been watching over her since last night.
Since Lin Ru was willing to make it up to Erika, she couldn't decide in Erika's place not to forgive her, so she said, "You must be tired."

It was Lin Ru's first time hearing her daughter talking to her like this. She waved her hands with excitement and replied,

"No, no, I'm not tired at all. It's great... it's great you woke up. I'm going to..." Lin Ru paused, and then continued, "I'm going to call your mom. Wait just a minute. They've also been watching over you in the hospital every day. In the evening, I take turns with your mom. They'll be very happy to find out you've woken up."

Taeyeon felt that Lin Ru had truly changed greatly. She was not as aggressive and mercenary as before, nor did she try to take credit for anything.

Taeyeon nodded with a smile. She asked, "Is my eldest brother okay?"

Just as Lin Ru was about to speak, however, Yul pushed open the door of the ward and entered. He looked much better.

Donned in a military uniform, he looked very energetic. He smiled at Taeyeon and said, "Thanks to you, I'm okay."

Lin Ru didn't understand what Yul meant, but Taeyeon did, so she replied with a smile, "That's the best news for me. I'm so glad to see you safe and sound, Yul."

"But if you hadn't woken up, I would have felt very guilty," Yul said seriously, looking solemn.

Taeyeon pursed her lips and didn't speak. She knew Yul might have guessed that she was a fairy. Who would be capable of what she had done except for fairies? She had even taken him back from City J to City A in an instant!

Of course, it would be a good thing for others to think she was a little fairy, though she herself knew those feats were owed to 009.

Lin Ru nodded and said in a tone with lingering fear, "Yes, Erika, no matter how much you were worried about your brother, you shouldn't have been in such a hurry when you went downstairs. You were in a coma for so many days and all of us were so worried about you. Do watch your steps while walking." With that, she went out to make phone calls.
