Where are you dad? I asked to myself. Our flight had arrived about an hour ago, and then I had to pass through immigration and retrieve my luggage. I had just exited customs after they scanned my suitcases; I needed to get a cart since I had three big suitcases and my purse. I was walking while pushing the cart through the airport hoping to spot my dad in the crowd, but was unsuccessful. The London Heathrow Airport was packed with crowds of people, so I decided to look for a nearby place to sit and get my phone out of my purse.

I saw a Café with empty tables and chairs and started walking to one of the empty tables. I pulled the cart beside me to prevent blocking the way for the rest of the customers. Once the cart was safely positioned beside me, I grabbed my purse and pulled my phone out. Since I didn't have a SIM card that would work here, I turned the Wi-Fi on and was grateful when the airport had several Wi-Fi options I could pick. When my phone was connected to the airport's Wi-Fi, I opened WhatsApp and wrote my dad a message.

"Hey dad! Just got out of immigration, I couldn't see you. There are way too many people. I'm currently at a Café. Answer when you can please!"

I hit the send button and waited for his response, hoping he would see the message soon. About a minute went by when my iPhone started buzzing, indicating that my dad had sent me a message.

"Hello Darling, I apologize you couldn't see me. The airport is packed. I'll come pick you up at the Café, which Café are you at?"

I messaged the name of the Café and description of my surroundings to my dad. I waited patiently at the table and decided to write a message to my mom and Sophia. I told them I had arrived safely and was waiting for my dad to pick me up at the café in the airport. I told them I would call them when we arrived at my dad's house. I put my phone away and was thinking about buying a cappuccino, thinking it would suit the occasion since I was a bit cold. Before I could make a decision I heard someone calling my name and turned around.

"Chloé, I missed you so much darling! How are you?" my dad asked as he embraced me in a bear hug. I laughed and hugged him in return.

"I missed you too dad! I'm fine thank you, how are you?" I asked before we parted from our embrace.

"I'm doing just fine, thank you darling. How was your flight?" he asked.

"Long but it was okay I guess, I feel tired but not exhausted. I'm hungry though, like really hungry, I need food," I said and he laughed, he knew I loved food.

"Well I guessed you would be hungry when you arrived, a friend of mine invited us to have dinner at a restaurant. He is really excited to meet you. Only if you agree to have dinner with them, he offered and said you didn't have to feel pressured to accept," my dad offered.

"Oh! That's really nice of him, of course I don't mind. He's a doctor as well?" I asked.

"Yes, we work together. He has been a friend of mine for years," he explained as he reached for the cart and pushed it while guiding me to the exit.

"That's nice; I'm excited to meet him. Although you mentioned 'them' as if more than one, who else is going to be there?" I remembered and decided to ask.

"Well I presume he will be taking his wife and his son. It's 9 PM, I will call and tell him to meet us at 10 in the restaurant. You will have time to freshen up and change clothes if you want once we reach the house and then we will leave," he said when we reached the car and started loading my suitcases.

"Okay, perfect," I said, we both got in the car and my dad started the engine and drove off.

I looked at myself in the mirror and was pleased with my outfit for dinner. I wore a black crop top with a back classic skater skirt and a black leather jacket. I was in the mood of an all-black outfit and it looked elegant, but trendy at the same time. The crop top and skirt were from the same soft fabric, the outfit being comfortable was a plus. I wore black and white ballerina slippers and put earrings, necklaces and bracelets on.
