I was eating breakfast when someone knocked on the door. My father answered the door. It was a palace guard...?

"Do you have a female between 15 and 18, and/or a male between 18 and 21 in your household?" asked the guard.

"Yes I do. Why do you ask?"

What is going on?

"Prince Lucas and Princess Maya are hosting a ball to choose their future King and Queen. All mentioned female and or males are required to attend." he says as he hands my father an invitation.

That is when I ran to my room to find my nice shoes, my jewlery and anything I can find to make a dress.

My mother comes into my room with a little brown sack, an old show box, and a jewlery box.

"I've been saving this stuff for you for a very long time." She said while sitting down next to me in my windowsill. She opens the shoe and jewlery box revealing a beautiful pair of high heels that look like they're made of diamonds, a necklace, a bracelet, earrings and a bracelet, they all match the shoes. In the sack there was enough money for me to go to town and get a nice dress.

"Thank you!" I practically yell at her.

"I want you to look your best. This is your chance to make a name for yourself." she said, ushering me out of the house.

I go to the stables to get my horse, Alice. I hop on and race out of the neighborhood straight to town.

~Joshua's POV~

"Cor! What's going on? Why did Riley rush out of the house?" I asked my big brother Cory.

"A palace guard came to the house and said you and Riley are required to go to the ball for Princess Maya and Prince Lucas to find a future King in your case for Maya, and for Riley she is going to meet Prince Lucas...to possibly--be future Queen." He said, and all I could do was smile. Princess Maya, and Riley are the two most beautiful girls I've ever seen.

I then went to town with the money I earned from my job to buy a suit and nice shoes, and possibly a watch.
