CALLI'S POV

Kiara, Ame, and I decided to have a chat after we all got home from the adoption center once everyone else had fallen asleep.

"Why didn't you let me kill them, Ame?" I ask.

"Yeah, after what they did to Itashi, how is that fair to just let them walk away like that?" Kiara chimes in.

Ame sighs. "Because I'm a detective, not a reaper. It's my job to discover the truth and help people survive the truth as well as protecting them. Besides, they didn't have the Mark of Death on them, did they Calli?" Ame asks me.

"...Your right. They didn't. They still have a life to live...for now." I say. "If they cause harm to another innocent child again..." I say as I clench my fist.

The Next Day...

I looked at the clock. It read 10:38 AM. We all decided to go shopping at the mall for some clothes and shoes for Itashi since she only had a singular set of clothing that was practically unwearable and beyond repair. We took her to several stores where she was mesmerized by all the beautiful clothes and shoes.

"Mmm!!" Itashi made a sound as she tugged on my pant leg and pointed at a pair of shoes.

"You want those Itashi?" Kiara asked as she picked them off of the shelf and handed them to her.
Itashi was wide-eyed with wonder and curiosity.

"Food?" She said as she was about to bite the shoe.

"Itashi that's not food!" Ina says taking the shoe from her with one of her tentacles. "You wear it in your feet little one. Like this!" She says as she puts the shoe on Itashi.

"How is it Itashi? Does it fit? Is it comfortable?" Gura asks. Itashi tilts her head sideways and stands up. "Guh!" She says as she almost falls.

"Woah! Don't worry hun, Mommy and Daddy got you." Kiara says as we prevent her from falling.

"Aww she just said her first guh." Gura says. "She really is your daughter Calli." We all laugh and proceed to continue shopping for Itashi.

A phone rings. "Oh, that's me sorry! I'll be right back!" Ame says as she sneaks away. After a couple minutes, Ame comes back.

"They need me at the police department. Apparently, they need help with a homicide." she said. "I'll be back soon. This won't take long."

"Alright Ame!" Gura says to her and takes a long look at her, causing Ame to blush.
Afterwards, we continued to shop for a very long time.

9 Hours Later...

We finally made it home with bags full of clothes for Itashi. After we all neatly fold Itashi's clothes and put them away, we all were extremely tired and decided to eat dinner while asking Itashi some questions such as if she had any interests, dislikes, allergies, etc. And of course, all questions went unanswered due to Itashi getting little to no education.
