CALLI'S POV

I've been thinking and dreaming of her nonstop since that kiss. Now that we're a couple, it might bring some complications to work and even our friendship's with the others.

Three Days Ago....

"I love you too, Calli. I've been waiting to hear those words forever." Kiara says as she leans in for another tender kiss.

"Wait." Calli hesitates.

"What will we tell the others? What will happen if the whole world finds out?"

I hadn't thought about the consequences until the adrenaline rushing through my veins had subsided. Kiara then breaks the 5 seconds of silence.

"We keep it a secret. Even from the others." Kiara explains.

Present Day...

I felt a bit of guilt tugging at my side. Was it unfair to keep such a secret hidden from three of my closest friends? Is it selfish to be silent about the one I love? How was it fair to them?

"Ugh I need wine and sleep." I sigh as I rub my temples as tears form in my eyes.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

"Calliope Mori, you skipped scythe swinging lessons for the 3rd day in a row. Open the damn door and explain yourself!" It was Death-Sensei. This is NOT good! I'm already on the verge of tears.

Reluctantly, I open the door. Death-Sensei can tell something is wrong. "Calliope, is everything okay?" I couldn't hold back the tears any longer as I slump into his boney arms with tears running down my face.

"Hey, it's okay my Apprentice, let's sit down and talk."

DEATH-SENSEI'S POV

"Ah, so that's what's going on." I say to my teary-eyed apprentice.

"M-mhm." she says as I get flashbacks of my one true love and how I felt with her by my side. I know what she needs right now.

"Calliope......take a hiatus. You have plenty of things going on in your love life right now. I may be Death, but even a boney old bastard like myself knows what love can do to somebody."

"Death-Sensei..." Calli is speechless.

"My apprentice, one day I will tell you the story of how I became Death. But for now, focus on your own story. You are the author of your own life. The maker of your own choices. If others don't agree with you, slash them down. If others try to take what you love, protect what you love and end them. You are a reaper. But most importantly, you are Calliope Mori. You must take care of yourself before you take care of your jobs. Be the best reaper and person you can be. If Gura, Ina'nis, and Amelia are truly your friends, they should accept you and Kiara for who you both are." I exclaim.

".........Yes Death-Sensei, I understand. But what about reaping?" She worries.

"Do not fret Little One." I pat her head, "Let me handle the souls of the damned. Now, go to the one you love and hold her tightly."
