As night fell, Y/n found herself in a state of exhaustion, her relentless search for shelter leading her to a quaint restaurant. Here, she sat alone, sipping on a drink and savoring a meal. Time passed, and the restaurant staff began the process of closing up for the night.
The compassionate lady working at the restaurant couldn't help but notice Y/n's apparent distress. Approaching her with genuine concern, she inquired, "Dear, are you alright?"
Y/n, though emotionally drained, offered a hesitant reply, attempting to conceal her true turmoil. "Umm, yes, I'm alright," she murmured.
The lady, identified as Nayeon, continued to observe Y/n, her concern deepening. "But, dear, you don't seem alright," she gently remarked, her eyes reflecting sincere empathy. "You've been here for an hour, and we have no problem with you staying longer."
Y/n hesitated momentarily, ultimately deciding to craft a fabricated narrative. "Actually, I'm an orphan, and I ran away from the orphanage because I couldn't handle the bullying there. Now, I'm here, trying to find a place to stay, but no one wants to rent their apartment to a minor like me." Her gaze fell to the table, hoping her deception would appear convincing.
Nayeon, her own history as an orphan resonating with Y/n's tale, regarded the young girl with a mix of compassion and understanding. "Oh, dear, I'm so sorry to hear what's happened to you. I was an orphan myself," she confided, a wistful smile forming on her lips.
Though Y/n felt a pang of guilt for her falsehood, she was determined to keep her true circumstances concealed. "Thank you for your kindness, but I don't want to be a burden to anyone," she expressed, her voice tinged with gratitude.
Nayeon offered a firm yet compassionate response. "Who said that, huh?" she countered. "Give me some time, alright? I'll close up the restaurant, and then we can talk."
Y/n agreed with a nod, but she sought to clarify one detail. "Alright, but I didn't catch your name," she inquired.
"It's Nayeon," came the reply, accompanied by a warm smile. Nayeon then excused herself, returning to the kitchen to complete her closing duties.
As Y/n observed Nayeon's departure, she couldn't help but smile. There was something about the woman's kindness that made her feel a genuine sense of trust.

Namjoon, his voice gentle, attempted to console his distraught friend. "It's okay, honey," he reassured. "The police are actively searching for her. Don't worry; I'm confident they'll bring her back to us."
Jungkook, physically and emotionally drained from hours of tears, eventually succumbed to exhaustion, finding solace in Hoseok's comforting embrace. Taehyung cast a concerned glance towards Jin, silently seeking guidance.
"I don't know, Taehyung-ah," Jin admitted, running a hand through his hair. "Let's hope the police find her soon."

Meanwhile, at Nayeon's modest abode, Y/n had finally secured a temporary sanctuary. Nayeon welcomed her with genuine warmth, guiding her to a small but inviting room where she could refresh herself and rest.
"Welcome to our small house, dear. I hope you enjoy living here, Y/n," Nayeon kindly offered, opening the door to the room and gesturing for Y/n to enter.
Observing her surroundings, Y/n complimented her host. "You have a nice house," she noted.
Nayeon expressed her gratitude. "Thank you, dear. Let me show you to your room so you can freshen up," she proposed, leading the way.

Within the living room of their shared home, Nayeon's boyfriend, Minhyuk, returned from his previous whereabouts. A warm smile and an embrace greeted Nayeon as she informed him of their guest's arrival.
"Honey, I'm home," he announced.
"Welcome back, honey. Get freshened up, we have someone here today," Nayeon called out to him.
"Alright," Minhyuk acknowledged before directing his attention to Y/n, who stood beside Nayeon. "Who is she, Nayeon-ah?" he inquired, his curiosity piqued.
Nayeon introduced their new guest with a warm smile, and Minhyuk extended a friendly hand. "Oh, that's her. Well, hi there, Y/n. I'm Minhyuk, but you can call me Minhyuk or Oppa. Hope you enjoy your stay here," he warmly greeted.
Y/n, though appreciative, couldn't shake her sense of apology. "Thank you, but I'm really sorry for bothering you all," she confessed, her gaze falling to the ground.
Nayeon countered gently, "What nonsense, dear." She then proceeded to serve Y/n a plate brimming with delectable food. As the young girl enjoyed her meal, a genuine smile graced her lips. For the first time in a long while, she felt like she was part of a loving family, the warmth in her heart a poignant reminder of the family she had left behind.
