Jungkook heard his wife's words, "I think it's time to end our marriage."
Confused, he looked at Kevie and asked, "What do you mean, Kevie?"
Taking a deep breath, Kevie continued, "I can't carry this burden anymore. I've been seeing someone else for a year now, and I think it's best for both of us if we separate."
Jungkook surprised her with a smile and replied, "So, what's the plan now?"
"Let's not just separate, let's get a divorce," Kevie said. "We don't love each other anymore, and we both have other relationships."
Jungkook was taken aback, asking, "But what about Y/n?"
Kevie explained, "The issue is with Y/n. Who will have custody over her?"
Jungkook considered the options, "How about shared custody?"
"Actually, I'd prefer full custody," Kevie responded, acknowledging that Jungkook would be moving away after the divorce.
"Seems like we've sorted everything out," Kevie said.
"Indeed, but we need to talk to Y/n about it," Jungkook pointed out.
Unbeknownst to them, Y/n had overheard their conversation. As a wealthy girl with busy parents, she longed for their attention and felt envious of her friends' close relationships with their parents.
Y/n sat in her room, crying and feeling neglected. She questioned her parents priorities and wondered if they truly cared about her.
Amid her sadness, she struggled to find solace and hoped that things would eventually get better. However, she couldn't shake off the feeling that her world was falling apart.
Jungkook and Kevie's conversation continued to echo in Y/n's mind. She felt like an outsider in her own family, burdened by the realization that her parents' relationship was ending and their focus was elsewhere.
As days passed, Y/n watched her parents as they went through the motions of their daily lives, seemingly indifferent to her emotional turmoil. She craved their attention, but they remained oblivious to her silent cries for help.
One evening, as Y/n was sitting alone in her room, the weight of her loneliness became unbearable. She yearned for someone to talk to, someone who could offer her guidance and support. It was then that an idea crossed her mind – her grandparents.
Y/n decided to reach out to her grandparents, hoping that they might understand what she was going through. She picked up her phone and dialed their number. As her grandmother's soothing voice greeted her on the other end, Y/n's tears started flowing uncontrollably.
"Hey there, sweetheart. Is everything okay?" her grandmother inquired, concern evident in her tone.
Through sobs and sniffles, Y/n managed to convey her feelings of isolation and sadness. Her grandmother listened patiently, offering words of comfort and reassurance.
"You know, Y/n, your parents are going through a difficult time right now. But that doesn't mean they don't care about you. Sometimes adults struggle with their own problems and forget to show their love," her grandmother explained.
Y/n found solace in her grandmother's words. It was as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She realized that while her parents might be preoccupied, she still had people who loved and cared for her.
As the days passed, Jungkook and Kevie worked towards finalizing their divorce, while Y/n focused on healing and finding her own voice. With her grandparents by her side, she learned to express her emotions and advocate for herself.
One day, as Y/n watched the sunset from her bedroom window, she felt a newfound sense of hope. She understood that while her family might have changed, her own strength and resilience could carry her through any storm. And as she looked ahead, she knew that brighter days were waiting for her – days filled with self-discovery, growth, and the unwavering love of those who truly cared about her.
