Unfortunately, luck wasn't on Y/n's side that day, as the unknown men continued to pursue her relentlessly through the forest. Gasping for breath, she finally gave in to exhaustion and sat down on the forest floor, panting heavily as she tried to make sense of the terrifying situation. She knew that running home would only entangle Minhyuk and Nayeon in this dangerous mess.

"That was terrifying," she muttered to herself, wiping sweat from her forehead. She didn't care about getting her clothes dirty; all she wanted was to stay out of the clutches of these unknown men.

Suddenly, the men closed in on her location, and fear surged through Y/n's veins. She knew she had to keep moving, so she forced herself to stand and dashed deeper into the forest.

Her feet ached, and her body screamed for a break, but she refused to give up. She pushed herself to keep running, drawing on every ounce of energy she had. All she could think about was returning home to Minhyuk and Nayeon, enjoying Nayeon's delicious treats, annoying Minhyuk, and simply hugging them tightly.

However, a cruel twist of fate led Y/n to stumble on a concealed rock, causing her to fall to the rugged ground, injuring her leg and spraining her ankle. She knew then that her fleeting happiness was about to be ripped away.

"Finally, we've caught you, little girl," one of the unknown men jeered.

"You've been quite the troublemaker," another added.

Y/n, weakened and in pain, could only whisper, "Please, let me go," as she weakly leaned against a tree for support.

The men chuckled at her plea. One of them approached Y/n and, lowering himself to her level, gently caressed her hair. He whispered, "Y/n, it's going to be okay." That's all she heard before she felt a searing pain in her neck.

Before she could utter another word, she heard someone apologizing to her, and a sense of drowsiness enveloped her. Closing her eyes, she lost consciousness, falling into the arms of her captor.

As Y/n's world faded into darkness, she clung to the fragment of consciousness that remained. The last things she heard were the eerie apologies and the sounds of her surroundings growing distant. Her thoughts swirled, and her vision blurred until everything went black.
