the tv played quietly in the background as nemo's dad was trying to find his son
val was comfortably asleep on mark's chest, mochi near her cuddled into his side
everyone seemed to be asleep, but mark wasn't
he had so much planned for later today that his mind was racing to much to be able to sleep.
"i really need to edit that vod" he thought to himself before looking down at val
her black hair layed messily around her, but she still looked perfect.
"i have my laptop in my car, if i could just get it, i could get it done while she sleeps"
"ugh but i don't want to disturb her"
his inner dialogue filled his brain.
the soft snores convinced him that she was sleeping deeply so with every ounce of control he very softly layed her off him.
mark made his way out of the room quietly and closed the door behind him extra carefully
he climbed downstairs heading for the front door
"who the f are you" tyler said taking a sip of his apple juice
"oh! hi i'm mark, val's friend" he smiled
tyler took an intimidating stance but the juice box in his hand didn't help
"and what are you doing here...mark"
"me and val streamed, and are now watching movies"
tyler came closer getting a deep and close look at mark
he looked at the taller guy, intimidation and judgement in his eyes
"ok dude, nice to meet you i'm tyler" he quickly backed off and talked in a happy tone
he quickly grabbed a croissant off of the counter
"don't tell her i took this" he said holding the croissant in his hand and walking off
mark stood there in shock of how quickly tyler's demeanor changed "what?" he whispered before walking to his car.
after grabbing the laptop he made his way back in
"AAAH!" he heard a loud squeak
he got scared and entered quicker to check if everyone is ok
as he entered he saw a small grunge stille, short black hair with the tips dyed purple blob with they're hands covering her face and knees brought up to they're chest
"are you ok?" he said getting down to her level, sitting cross legged
"leave pleaseeee" she said still not looking
"you know you can see my face right, you're not going to get sent to prison for that" he joked
"besides me and you're sister are friends, you'll see my face inevitably, so it's ether now or later" he said putting a comfort I hand on her shoulder
she stayed down
"you're taking this more seriously then i am" he joked once again making the two laugh.
"okay" she took a deep breath and looked up
he threw up two thumbs up and gave a smile
"damn you really are a basic white boy" they said and got up to the kitchen
stabbing her caprisun she looked at him again
"what does that supposed to mean" he said in the WhaTs WroNg WitH mY Car voice
"it's nothing bad! i just....you look basic." she deadpanned
he looked at them fake hurt
"well fine then i'll just go hangout with your sister then" he said and made his way towards the room
as he came closer to the door he remembered that she was sleeping so he opened it very quietly and made his way back to the bed
just as he was finally done getting her back to where she was before he left
she woke up.
"oh sorry if you need to leave i'll get off" she said sitting up
"no no no it's the opposite, i just came back" he said waving his laptop
"so did- huh?"
"you were sleeping, i wasn't tired, i wanted to edit a vod, pushed you away, got interrogated by your brother, talked with azlea and came back here to get back to how we were" he explained
"damn i was out for that long?"
"yeah. plus the like 30 minutes of finding nemo you missed"
"YOU WATCHED FINDING NEMO WITHOUT ME?!"
"...yes"
"eh whatever finding dory is better she said and layed back onto the bad, now farther away from mark
"why did you move?"
"well because you wanted to edit"
"so?"
she looked at him
"lay down" he said patting the bed close to him
she wiggled her way over laying her head back on mark
he put the laptop on her back
"see perfect" he said happily, putting in one airpod and loading up his editing software
val smiled and went to look for finding dory on disney plus
"did i really sleep through you pushing me off?"
"well to be fair i was really sneaky with it but yeah, you sleep very deeply i have found out"
"really?"
"yeah when you sleep you hibernate like a polar bear" he said chuckling, valory soon joined him and they got back to what they were doing
mark went back to editing while val kept watching finding dory
"just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming swimming"
val sang quietly while mark was smiling like an idiot.
