"have you eaten today?" mark asked spinning ever so slightly in vals gaming chair while some random movie played quietly on the tv
she was sitting crisscrossed on her bed, head resting on the palm of her hand, with wondering what the fuck is going on in the movie.
"yes..." she said not making eye contact
he stayed silent, only slightly tilting his head at her
"no" she said with a sigh sounding dissapointed in herself
he stayed silent for a bit, trying to decide the right thing to say "do you want too?" he finally spoke up
"not really, but i know i need to"
he sighed deeply getting out of the chair and plopping down next to her on the bed
"what do you want?" he asked taking out his phone and scrolling on uber eats
"i don't know, something not greasy" she said sinking under her covers
"well...we can have chipotle, uhh panera...oh! chinese?" he started listing options getting excited about the last one
she groaned, covering her face with her blankets once again "you chose"
she turned around, now facing away from him and getting into position to take yet another nap
"chinese it is" he said, one hand placing his end of the order and the other rubbing the shorter girls back.
"what do you want?" mark asked regarding the food
"uhh i don't care just get me what ever you got yourself" she said not being able to even think of a food she would truly enjoy.
he put his phone down, still massaging the girls back, watching the playing movie
"this movie sucks" val said mumbled in her covers
"it does"
they both chuckled before valory sat up and took the remote
"what should we watch" valory debated to herself before gasping loudly
"we're watching the notebook no questions or opinions allowed" she said laying back down
mark chuckled at her excitement and didn't dare to say anything, refusing to ruin the joy she was radiating.
