August 9th - 137 days until Christmas Eve aka Louis' 22nd Birthday
Louis would rather die than get up from his bed. But if he doesn't get up now Fred is going to pick up his phone and throw it straight out of their third story dorm. Louis groaned as he slammed the pillow down over his head grasping the few strings of sanity he had left at this ungodly hour. Almost like clockwork his door swings open and Louis shoots out of bed just in time to save his precious phone that he refuses to let have the same fate as its predecessor.
"No, no, no! I'm turning it off Fred. If you break my phone one more fucking time I'm going to lock you out of the dorm. You're so dramatic!" Louis shrieks as he dives for the phone before his evil friend and roommate can get his meaty little claws on it. Fred groggily rubs at his eyes then glares at Louis as though he would be able to make little holes into the side of his head.
"Maybe I wouldn't have broken your phone if you woke up to your loud ass alarms!" He groaned as he trailed back out of Louis' room with his blanket worn as a shawl in tow. Louis rolled his eyes and looked at the time on his phone and his eyes widened. It was only 5am and his alarm was not supposed to go off until 7:30am at the earliest. He unlocks the phone and sees he has over 5 missed calls from Harry. His blood runs cold as he quickly dials back and the phone begins to ring. What if Harry was dead? On the side of the road in a ditch? What if he was kidnapped by those weird hippies who wandered the school grounds trying to force us to go green? He had told Harry taking one of their weird compost paper pamphlets was just asking for it. He's going to go online and see that they made Harry into some kind of weird human worm compost. What is he supposed to tell Anne, Gemma, and Des? They were going to blame-
"Hello?" A deep voice drones through the receiver. Louis takes a breath he didn't know he had been holding and immediately decides the best course of action is to blame all of these overwhelming ideas on Harry.
"You bastard! How can you call me at 5am like 100 million times and expect me to think you're not dead! You are so lucky you're not worm compost right now! Actually I wish the hippies would have taken you. Maybe then I wouldn't have to deal with your absolute ridiculousness again!" He panted as he finished his well deserved rant aimed at Harry.
There was silence on the line for a few moments and Louis wondered if he was dreaming and Harry was truly worm compost right now and he had just exposed himself as a witness to the scary hippies but then a voice carried over the line.
"Worm compost? That's new. Boo, have you been drinking tea before bed again love?" Harry chuckled over the line. Louis blushed furiously at the endearment and thanked his lucky stars that Harry was not here to see him blushing like a literal schoolgirl. After his moment of schoolgirl bliss he snaps out of it to realise what Harry had actually said.
"Listen here, arsehole. You called me at 5am on a Monday and expected me to think rational thoughts? Haz you have literally known me since I pissed in my bed. I do not wake up until the sun is up. If it is too early for the world to be awake, why should I be awake? Honestly you'd think you had never met me before." He again hears deep laughter over the line and smiles to himself a little. He walks back over to his bed and sinks into his comforter before speaking into the line again.
"Now Harold, please let me know what I have done to deserve your wonderful voice through my cellular device so early this fine morning?" He says as he closes his eyes to relish in the comfort of his bed.
"I don't know if you had forgotten but since today is the first day of Uni I have morning practice for footie. I was wondering if you wanted to tag along still. I'm kind of outside your dorm right now waiting." Louis' eyes shot open at that. He had totally forgotten he had promised Harry he would go to his first practice of the season.
