Part 14 : because you're perfect

That's all Kelly needed to hear, now he had to think about the perfect date and where to take her. He wanted it to be special and something she'd remember forever, he wanted to let her know with that date and probably the ones that would follow that she deserved the stars and more.

"Now go get in your pjs, and get some sleep. Because i know Gabby and she probably had you walk everywhere"

Stella laughed "she actually did" so she got up and then thoughtful she said "Kelly, please let's forget anything happened here".

"What are you talking about" he winked and made a funny face to make her feel better.

"Thank you" she smiled.

Stella then left and went straight to sleep, it had been a lot of emotions for her in such a short period of time. Weirdly she felt drained of any strengh that could have been left in her body. But one thing was for sure and it's that she was excited about the date with Kelly.

The next morning Stella woke up a bit later than usual, and a bit under the weather. She was thinking about Ava. She got to the living room and found that Kelly had already left, and there she found a note and was reminded of how Kelly use to always leave a note for her.

"My first shift is today, just didn't want to bother you and talk about it. But don't worry, tomorrow night it'll be our night. I love you, see you later"

Stella was a bit sad now, although she was already feeling some type of way because she was thinking about her daughter. Now she hated that Kelly didn't tell her about his first day back, he was everything to her and it mattered for her to hear the things that had to do with him. So she quickly showered and got ready, she hated staying inside anyways. She went and bought some donuts, she wanted to celebrate Kelly just like he would make sure she felt special.

But she had no transport, and she didn't really want to wait for the bus. So just like she used to do she decided to walk there, of course it was a bit of a long walk but it didn't matter. She was happy to go see Kelly and make him feel special.

The day was beautiful, the sky was blue. And thankfully going to go see Kelly was taking her mind off of Ava. She finally got to the firehouse.

"And Kelly" she asked the guys who were sitting alone without him.

"Stella" Cruz said happy "when are you coming back"

"It was better with you here" Capp added.

"Well thank you, makes me feel loved. And maybe i will come back" she said smiling "but where is Kelly"

"In his quarters" Cruz told her "wait hold on, are those donuts only for him"

"Yes" she said as she walked by them.

So she made her way through the firehouse and finally got to Kelly's quarters. She knocked and he opened the door, surprised to see Stella.

"What are you doing here" he said smiling from ear to ear.

"I read your note" she proceeded to say.

So he let her in his quarters, and closed the door. He looked at her to wait and see what else she had to say.

"And so I didn't like that you felt like you couldn't tell me it was your first day back. You're always so amazing to me, so it's only right to do the same" she smiled "you are everything Kelly Severide, and i want to know that. I'm proud that you're back doing what you love"

"Thank you" he said with a knot in his throat.

And it was right in this moment that Kelly knew Stella was the one for him, that she was the one he had been waiting for. He knew that she was important to him just as much as he was important to her. And she had no problem in showing that, seeing her go all the way out just for him. Made his heart melt inside, he loved the sensation he was currently feeling. He loved it so much that he was almost brought to tears.
