Silence.
That was all that brewed throughout the room.
After reading that letter aloud, the three friends didn't know how to react to that.
It was a very crucial evidence of some sort. Maybe about what had happened to Lord Alastair before his death? Or maybe it about unraveling the truth behind these beautiful walls.
Processing this information, the three still remained quiet, trying to use their brains for once.
Although they weren't the brightest of the bunch, they still knew what this meant.
Parts of the folktale were a lie.

After quite a few minutes, they all finished digesting this and tried to speak up.
"Uh...so...what the hell was that about?" Clyde said in a hushed yet questioning tone.
"I, uhm, I honestly don't know. I am so confused right now." replied Ewan.
Finsley remained quiet as she had nothing else to say.
It began to get awkward quite quick so they just decided to discuss this in another room.

Going back to the piano room, they all sat on the floor to discuss about the clues and answers they've been finding.
Clyde spoke up about this since hes tired of the silence.
"Okay uhh, so about that letter.."
"Hm, I've been thinking about it." Said Ewan.
"B-but, i thought the folktale said that they were a happy family.." Finsley said in a questioning manner.
"Well, not everything is what it seems, Finsley. Wrap your head around that." Clyde spat.
"Hey, chill out, I'm on Finsley's side here." Ewan tried to defend his friend.
"Of course you're gonna side with her, you're like in love with her." Clyde said in a mocking tone.
"What?!" Ewan yelled.
Finsley just sat in shock.
"That's not true and you know that! I don't like Finsley like that. We're just..friends." Ewan beginning to regret yelling.
Finsley just sat there with her head down.
She was beginning to spew out tears from her eyes and made a run for it in the halls. Not caring where it'll take her, she just wanted to get away from everything.
"Hey- Finsley wait!" Ewan called out for her.
"Ugh, this is all your fault Clyde! Why'd you have to say that!" Ewan began to ball his fists.
"Chill out, she couldn't have ran that far, she's not athletic remember." Clyde said now feeling a bit regretful.
Ewan didn't respond and just ran after Finsley, leaving Clyde all alone.
"Oi- where are you going?!"
"To find Finsley you fuck!" Ewan yelled while he ran.
"Jeez..what's his problem." Clyde said to himself.

Running through the dusty halls with creaky floorboards, Ewan ran and ran trying to desperately find his friend.
Ewan getting more and more worried as he can't find Finsley, he still wouldn't give up. He cared deeply for the girl, and no way in hell is he just gonna abandon her.
Getting more and more tired, Ewan stopped to catch his breath.
As he stopped in front of a door, he heard quiet sobs. Peeking in the room, he saw Finsley all curled up in a dark room in front of a dresser, crying.
As soon as he saw Finsley, he ran over to her side.
"Finsley!" Ewan yelled.
Finsley lifting her head up, eyes wide as she was engulfed in his embrace.
"I'm sorry about what Clyde and I said, I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm so so sorry. Please forgive me." Ewan said in a hushed voice.
Finsley not knowing how to react, she slowly hugged Ewan back as a sign of forgiveness.
"I-it's okay Ewan, I know you didn't m-mean it. I'm sorry I ran off.." remarked Finsley.
"It's okay, I'm just glad I found you safe. Don't cry okay, I'll be here with you from now on." Ewan said slightly embarrassed.
"M-mhm!" Finsley nodded.
"We should get back to Clyde, and don't worry, I'll talk to him."
"O-okay."
Ewan holding out a hand for Finsley to help her up.
She took it and they immediately ran back together to where Clyde was.
Hands still intertwined, this made Finsley blush a bit, but not minding as she didn't want to be alone.
At least not anymore.
