Ewan didn't know how to feel. A part of him thought of wanting to go back home but he didn't wanna seem scared and wuss out. Especially in front of Finsley.

But Ewan was starting to get a weird feeling the longer he stayed in the house. He thought, maybe if he endured this just a little bit longer, then they could all leave together.

All he could do was hope for everyone to be able to return back home safely.

After the little incident earlier, they decided to stick together from now on.

Clyde helped support Ewan a little as he was still slightly dazed out of his mind. He was in a very vulnerable state.

Finsley helped carry Ewan's items as they both walked throughout the house. Despite her small figure, she was quite strong.

The only thing they could hear as they walked through the halls were creaky floorboards and slight chirping from the birds outside.

They all wanted to forget about what just happened as they didn't want it to affect their journey.

No point in turning back now.

After a few minutes of walking, they decided to take a break. They stopped at the middle of a large and empty room.

Has the house always been this huge?

They all decided to eat a little as they haven't had anything for a while now.

While they were all eating, an uncomfortable silence filled the room, making it more awkward than it already was.

Ewan got tired of the awkward tension, so he decided to speak up.

"So...should we talk about what just happened?"

"Oh uhm...yeah sure I guess." Remarked Clyde.

Ewan turned to his other friend out of curiosity, only to see a tired, messy and very unusually quiet Finsley.

She was barely eating her food and just sat there with her hair draped over her face making it hard to see her current expression.

Saddened by this, Ewan tried to comfort her.

"H-hey, are you okay, Finsley?" He asked in a hushed tone.

Findley quickly looked up to her companion, but only nodded lightly then returning back to eating.

Ewan noticed something quite odd about her. Her face was as pale as snow. Although she has quite fair skin, this was different.

It felt, off.

But he couldn't say anything about it afraid of making her uncomfortable.

As they finished eating, Ewan and Clyde decided to discuss about earlier while Finsley sat behind Ewan.

She was leaning against his back, which Ewan didn't mind and continued to talk to his friend.

Finsley felt cold and uncomfortable all this time ever since her and Clyde went to look for Ewan.

She didn't want to speak up about it because she didn't want to worry any of them, so she stayed silent, as always.

But, in all honesty, she was scared. Scared to death. She was worried something was happening to her ever since she found that thing in the woods.

Just the thought of it made her shudder. She was shaking but not to the point where Ewan or anyone would notice.

She wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, but not without her friends. Especially Ewan. He has been kind to her ever since they became friends, and she cared about his dearly.

All Finsley could do was sit there and hope for nothing crazy to happen.

Just as she was about to sit up, she felt some sharp pain in her stomach. Findley winced, and sat back down on Ewan.

Confused, she slightly lifted up her dress to find something that made her blood run cold.

A black veiny spot that was growing on her lower abdomen.
