Hadrian's POV:

My first week at Hogwarts was certainly more interesting than I thought it would be (and I thought the fun wouldn't start until dad's plans did!) Besides the article with dad being published on Wednesday, we also got to see Professor Snape knock down some bullies this week too. It's probably no shock to you that it was two very, let's say outspoken, Gryffindors who had their eyes opened.

Tuesday was the start of all the drama. Monday we only had classes with Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, so I didn't have to worry about too much drama there. I did meet some nice Hufflepuffs, but most of the Ravenclaws seemed a little full of themselves. During second period on Tuesday we had our first DADA class. The lesson itself was fine, nothing I hadn't heard before, but the teacher? He was interesting. Mother Magic already told me who he is, however it was interesting to see the faction lord so confused over a child.

Safe to say he -just like everyone else- was not expecting the changed class list. Overall his lesson was interesting, if you paid attention it was easy to get used to the stutter. It was really funny to see his eyes change colors when certain questions were asked though. How no one else notices is beyond me.

It was early afternoon on Wednesday when we had our first potions class. After the article was read over breakfast that morning it was safe to say anytime I did anything someone was looking at me. The entire Slytherin table thought the article was great, Marcus even wanted to frame the article and hang it in the common room. Anytime Dumbledore is shown in a true light is a win for us.

All of us were lined up outside of the potions classroom waiting to be let in when the drama for the day first started. Neville was quietly introducing me to his roommates Dean and Seamus when Weasley stomped over to us.

"Neville, mate, what are you doing over here with this slimy snake? Seamus, Dean, let's go!"

The three of them rolled their eyes and turned their back to him. Before he could say anything else the classrooms door opened and Professor Snape's voice rang out, calling a simple "enter."

We all filed in and I ended up sitting next to Blaise, with Theo and Draco in front of us and Greg and Vincent behind us. Pansy squeezed in with Daphne Greengrass and Millicent Bulstrode in one of the four person benches in the back of the classroom. We stuck to the right of the classroom and the Gryffindors took the left. Not surprisingly there was a row between where Weasley and Granger were sitting in the front and where the other Gryffindors decided to sit.

All of the Slytherins were excited to have class with our head of house. Yes, he was known to be strict and favor Slytherins slightly, however, with the reputation of Slytherins being evil, him favoring us just evens out the playing field. On top of that, his strict teaching methods have made him the only Hogwarts potions professor to never have a serious incident in his class. So really, we all see no problems with the way he runs our schooling.

Once we were all seated with our parchment and quills in front of us he started to speak.

"There will be no foolish wand waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion-making. However, for those select few who posses the predisposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death." The class was deadly silent as Professor Snape's voice filled the room.

"I trust that you all read the assigned introductory summer reading." There were murmured yeses from around the class. "Very well, then I am certain you wouldn't mind a small quiz now to see if you retained anything." He glanced around the class looking for the first person to call on when he spotted Weasley staring into space. "Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities to formidable that you feel confidant enough to not pay attention!" During his speech he walked over to the desk and slammed his hand down, startling Weasley out of his daydream. With giggles coming from both sides of the room he turned red as his hair and glanced up.
