That's the Question Isn't it?

Percy's POV:

Being woken up at 4 in the morning by an IM is not the way one usually likes to start their day. It especially is not a good way to start the day when the IM consists of your father and uncles worriedly looking at you while you are still half asleep. ESPECIALLY when their message is about your son.

Yeah, that woke me up real quick.

"What's the matter?"

"Perseus, Apollo just informed us of a problem that revolves around Hadrian" Uncle Zeus looked worried as he spoke. "He didn't specify what was wrong, only that he wanted to speak to you, Athena and Hecate."

"Of course almost all of Olympus knows by now and so the council was just going to hold a meeting. Let it not be said that Hadrian is not favored by the gods." Uncle Hades said with a smirk and eye roll.

"Di immortals. Okay, I'll come by after I visit Hogwarts. A certain headmaster sent me a letter last night, AGAIN, about Hadrian and I want to nip this in the bud before he gets worse. Hopefully me showing up only to leave doesn't worry Hadrian too much, especially because I don't know what's wrong or how long it will take."

They all nodded and Dad sent me a small smile before the message cut out. Sighing I got out of bed and headed to the kitchen for some coffee. I had at least four hours to kill before I had to be in Hogsmeade.

~*Time skip because really he just sits there for a few hours and I don't want to write that and you don't want to read that*~

Entering Hogwarts grounds I felt the wards wash over me, like a comforting hug from Hecate herself and felt myself smile. I schooled my face before entering the great hall and quickly found Hadrian sitting with his friends. Honestly he was what was stopping me from sassing the headmaster (at least sassing him a lot.) After trying to reassure Hadrian, though I don't know how well that went, the walk to the headmasters office was quiet. The man rushed to catch up, but chose to stand next to me instead of guide me as we walked.

"It is interesting that you seem to know where you are going Lord Olympia seeing as you yourself never went to Hogwarts."

I kept my face blank as I quickly answered his probing question.

"Hogwarts may have never been my second home but it was my mothers. She often shared stories with me of her time here when I was growing up. She spoke often enough that I know a basic layout of the grounds." By the time I finished we reached his office and the gargoyle stepped aside to let us up. Once we were inside he sat behind his desk as I chose an armchair in front of him.

"Now Lord Olympia, as you know your son was in a duel the other day. You must understand that here at Hogwarts aggressive acts like that are not tolerated."

"Headmaster. You should know as well as I do that any fair duel between students is perfectly allowed based on the schools charter. And seeing how my son informed both he and his partners head of house and had a neutral referee he did nothing wrong. As I said earlier this is the third time you have mailed me in a week alone. Neither of us has the time to waste skirting around the bush so why don't you just tell me what you want from me sir."

He blinked for a second before nodding, tilting his head down to try and look more innocent. Like I would buy that.

"Of course Lord Olympia. I, like many others, am just curious to learn about your family seeing as your mother disappeared so long ago. I would love to chat with you and get your...opinions on some things."

I nodded with a smirk. "Ah, I see, you want to know where I stand in terms of the light and dark side do you not?" His face stayed the same but I saw the twinkle in his eyes dim slightly. "We'll that's the question isn't it. As you might have heard my son confirm we both are grey. Just like my mother, grandmother and great grandmother before me we both believe in the balance between light and dark. The Olympia family has always, and WILL always be a grey family. Now, seeing as you don't have any concerns over my sons schooling and this isn't a Wizengamot meeting I think that is all headmaster. Good day." I quickly rose and walked out before he could gather his whits.

I let out a breath as I left the castle and quickly apparated home. Once I was safely home I changed out of my robes into some comfortable slacks and a silky button down before flashing onto Olympus.

I appeared in the throne room where the rest of the council (and Lady Hecate) was already sitting having small side conversations (though the atmosphere was full of tense energy.) I quickly grew to my godly height and sat down before starting.

"So what happened Apollo?"

Everyone turned as the god in question looked a little too calm for the situation.

"Well, now that Hadrian is at Hogwarts I was thinking a little about the magical world and my involvement in it. As you all know, human seers are only true seers if they are legacies of me. Well only valid, you know real, prophecies are given by true seers."

"Apollo where are you going with this?" I sighed.

"Well the whole reason James and Lilly Potter were killed was because of a prophecy given by Sybil Trelawney, the great great granddaughter of the famous Cassandra Trelawney. The problem is, she isn't a true seer. I can feel a slight connection with every true seer, just how every god feels a slight connection to their legacies. With her I feel nothing, which means as much as she says she's a seer she isn't. This isn't as important but it also means she's a bastard child from an affair of her mothers since her father is a legacy of mine."

Everyone tensed up at that and seemed to be staring holes into Apollo's head.

"So what Apollo, what does that mean for my grandson?" Dad seemed to be getting more annoyed the longer his explanation dragged on.

I cut dad off "does this mean that there actually isn't a prophecy? That Lilly and James were killed for no reason"

He sighed. "Yes and no."

"What do you mean yes and no?!"

"The prophecy was something she made up to get a job, but when Voldemort acted upon it it became a valid self fulfilling prophecy. So it is a real prophecy but not a true one. The reason this is so important and I wanted to tell you was because this changes your plans. Technically a part of the prophecy was completed, when Hadrian got his scar and was marked as Voldemorts equal which means that the rest of it won't happen unless someone involved in the prophecy acts upon it."

"That's great, why are you worried so much about it? That thing was a thorn in our side when it came to the tentative plans we had laid out for the future. Now this will make getting Tom Riddle back easier" grumbled Ares.

"Because, anyone who has ever seen a true prophecy given would know that the one Sybil gave was fake. This means that Dumbledore would have known it was fake, and instead of confirming that with Snape he let him think it was the real thing and run off to the dark lord. It means that he wanted Voldemort to act on that prophecy. Originally you planned to get Voldemort his sanity back and have him act like the Tom Riddle he was before he split his soul. You were going to have him play political games and have the balance created with both him and Dumbledore in power. Now, it's looking like Dumbledore is up to something and you might not be able to do that."

He was right.

Dumbledore would have known that prophecy wasn't valid unless someone acted to initiate it. Why would he want an innocent child to be wrapped up in something like this? And if he truly wanted something like this to happen we might not ever have peace and balance if he remains in power. We might have to completely change our plans.

"Well, I'm glad I told Hadrian it might be a while." I buried my head in my hands and sighed. I heard someone walk over and put their hand on my back. When I looked up it was Lady Hecate.

"We will figure this out Perseus. We all love that boy, almost as much as you do and nothing is going to stop us from keeping him happy and safe. Take a moment and then we'll start."
