Jungkook’s POV
I guess it must have been the millionth time my cell phone rang in an attempt by Jimin to get me on the video call with Joon and Jin. I was ignoring everything and everyone that morning, trying to let my bad mood be softened by the company of my little one. My week had not been very good, and besides having to spend money I don't have for San's friend's birthday present, I still ended up bumping into Y/n and her boyfriend. So annoying.
And to make my day even better, the last thing I expected happened: Sannie decided to take one of my calls while I was using the bathroom, obligating me to have a real conversation with people of my age. Ugh.
“Daddy, daddy!” he came running, phone in hand “Uncle Joon got a new bonsai and he said I can name it!” the corners of his mouth curled up in a big smile, which always made me smile too.
“Oh really?” he nodded, excited “Let me talk to uncle Joon”
He handed me the phone and walked to his room while I turned to the living room, throwing myself on the sofa.
“What?”
“First of all: rude” Jin started “And second: the only way we can talk to you is if the little version of you answers the phone?”
“I’m not in the mood for human interaction”
“Good thing we don’t care what you’re into it” Jimin replied sarcastically “Did you even go to college? I saw you for ten minutes before first class then you disappeared”
“I did” I sighed, looking away “I was just trying to avoid a few people, by getting in class late and leaving a few minutes early”
“And by a few people you mean Y/n?” Joon questioned and I refused to answer.
“She showed up at my restaurant last night” my eyes immediately drift over to my friend on the screen “She was with a guy named Taehyung and the dude we dislike, Hoseok. He even ordered for her, disgusting” Jin let out an attempt to make me smile, but failed.
“You don’t have to dislike the guy, he’s fine. I remember him back from my dance classes. He’s nice and is always in a happy mood. Everything I’m not”
“Oh my God, Jungkook” Jimin complained “I have high standards to befriend people, ok? And if you’ve passed the cut it means a lot. So stop sulking at home and get out a little, go do something you like. You said you didn't know exactly what your feelings towards her were so stop acting like you broke up”
“That’s what I thought, but after seeing her with another guy everything became very clear. Give me a few days and I’ll get better”
“Fine” Namjoon intervened “But you can’t ignore us, ok? It makes us worry”
“Don’t think too highly of yourselves, you’re not the only people I’m ignoring”
The ringing of my doorbell brought me out of my thoughts.“Oh my!” Jimin gasped “You’re having people over and didn’t tell us?”
“I’ll talk to you guys later”
“No, wait-”
I quickly ended the call and walked to the door, ready to shoo away whoever was on the other end, not in the mood for conversation.
But all this vanished from my mind the moment I saw Y/n on the other side. The person I had been avoiding all week, who had snuck into my mind and before I knew it had taken over.
“Y-Y/n? What are you doing here?”
“Hey, Jungkook” she smiled subtle “Sorry to show up without notice, but I really need to talk to you and you haven’t been answering my messages”
