Ten minutes later Jungkook parked in front of one of the best and most expensive restaurants in town. I came only once when my parents were visiting and his choice surprised me. Isn't he broken?? He should save this money to spend on himself and San, not on me! He was about to leave the car when I took the brave decision to hold his arm to say something.

“Is something wrong?”

“Well, it’s just, how do I say this?” gosh, I don’t wanna offend him “We don’t have to waste so much money on dinner, are you sure you wanna go there?”

I told him candidly and instead of getting sad or upset, he smiled at me.

“I have another photoshoot next week. I finally can afford something like this and I want to enjoy it with you” I blinked dumbly at him, trying to come up with something to say but nothing appeared. I could cry at his sweetness.

He opened the door for me while I let his words sink in and we headed to the restaurant holding hands, which happened naturally, as if it was something we’re used to doing. He gave his name to the hostess who asked a waiter to guide us to a table for two. The atmosphere was so beautiful. The lights were dimmed and soft jazz was playing live. Large chandeliers hung from the ceiling, giving the place a sophisticated touch, as its tables were already set with expensive cutlery and wine glasses larger than my head. The first time I went there I was afraid to even look at the precious silverware and suddenly break.

Jungkook ordered us some wine and after a few minutes checking the menu I decided on what to eat so we placed our order. The waiter came back a minute later and wanted Jungkook to taste the wine ‘to see if it was to his liking’ before serving us which made us laugh after he left, due to the performance that Jeon delivered as if he were accustomed to tasting wines.

“Who has San tonight?” I asked, drinking a sip from my glass. It was sweet, a dangerous combination with alcohol.

“Jin’s watching him. He doesn’t like being in the restaurant on Saturdays since it gets too crowded”

“Oh, how annoying it must be to have a successful business” I joked and Jungkook laughed, scrunching his nose, something that makes him even more adorable “I have something to ask you”

“What is it?”

“What took you so long to ask me out?”

“Oh… that” he rubbed the back of his neck in slight shyness “I thought you were dating Hoseok”

“Y-you… Hoseok and I?” I frowned, completely appalled “But what made you think that?” I rested a hand on my cheek, interested in what he had to say. I can't imagine why he would have had such an idea.

“Well, when I first decided to ask you out I saw you two in the dance room. He ran to you, placed his hands on your face and pulled you to what appeared to be a kiss. After that everything seemed to collaborate for your supposed relationship, including the trip to Jeju and the pictures you took. You know... as a couple and all” he averted his gaze from mine and I gasped.

“That long?! Have you been thinking that Hobi and I are together even before I went to Jeju??” he nodded “Why didn’t you ask me anything? You could have... I don't know, used Jimin to get information from Tae”

“I asked him not to since I was so sure about you two” his eyes met mine and he shrugged.

“Wait, is that why you were avoiding me?” I widened my eyes and he let out an embarrassed laugh.

“You noticed that, huh?”

“Of course I did, I got frustrated because of it”

“I’m sorry, I got upset because I really like you and you were seeing someone else so I imagined staying away was the best solution”
