Liam paced across the floor as he waited for Niall to arrive. Every so often he would check his watch and would groan when he saw that Niall couldn't come any faster.

A part of me was excited because I couldn't wait to meet one of my favorite members of One Direction, but on the other hand I was then reminded of my sitution and why I even met them in the first place. Once I was tired of watching Liam pace around the room, I looked at the calendar on the wall.

Instantly, I winced and felt a sharp stabbing pain in my heart. I had already used up one week, and now I only had seven weeks left.

I quickly tried chastising myself for thinking that way, but it was to no use. What happened to my living in the moment motto?

I sighed and everyone in the room looked at me. Maddie saw me looking at the calendar and I avoided her eye contact. I didn't want to see her looking at me as if I would die at any moment.

To avoid an awkward situation, I quickly blurted out, "How long does it take for Niall to get here?"

Liam groaned. "It should only take him about eight minutes. It been nearly twelve!" He walked over the wall and punched it, but quickly pulled back when he split open a few knuckles.

"Liam!" Maddie shouted. She got up from the bed and ran over to his side. "Here, let me help. My mum taught me first aid." They walked over to the bathroom and she began cleaning his wounds just as there was a knock on the door.

A sudden fluttering attacked my heart and I found myself taking deep breaths. Play cool, play cool. He's going to be just like Harry and Liam and so far you have handled yourself with them. Don't go crazy, you wan't Niall to like you, I recited in my head.

Cautiously I grabbed hold of the railing on the stairs and began to walk towards the door.

"Is it Niall?" Harry called down. My fingers fumbled at the door's lock and it took me a few attempts to unlock it. At the last moment, I remembered to look through the peephole and I could no longer control my shaking. "Hello?" Harry asked. "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah," I quickly said. "It's Niall." I stood up straight and took one last breath before I swung open the door...and was quickly by passed.

Niall pushed me to the side and asked in his oh-so-adorable Irish accent where Liam was.

I was starstruck. I couldn't move my mouth, my hands, my feet. I was rooted to the spot. A part of me wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and jump up and down while tears rolled down my face. The other part wanted me to move, to do something, to make Niall love me.

He awkwardly shifted his stance and waved his hands in front of me. "Anybody in there?"

I blinked away my frozen stupor and finally got the guts to speak to my idol. "Uh-yeah. Sorry, I'm sure Harry told you about the concussion? It's just a side effect."

His eyebrows raised in concern and he held out his arm for support. "Come on, let's go upstairs."

I graciously took his arm and prayed to anyone that would listen that he would not notice my racing heart beat. Thank goodness I put on a load of deaoderant earlier; I would have died right now if I hadn't.

"So what exactly happened last night?" He asked. I gave him a nervous laugh that sounded a lot more like a dying goat.

"Well, my friend, Maddie, took Liam out to some club and obviously got him drunk. We, meaning Harry and I, tried stopping them but it just went way out of control and they started getting it on. Thank goodness they both kept their pants on. Imagine the disaster!" I made a fluttering motion with my hands, as if to fan myself, and Niall laughed.

Oh goodness I heard Niall's laugh in person. Today is a glorious day.

Niall was still laughing when he said, "I wish I could have been there. It's not often a girl gets Liam drunk."

I shook my head. "Well Maddie is a party animal."

"Oh thank goodness!" Yelled Liam as soon as we got to the top of the stairs.

He grabbed Niall by the shoulders, said a quick hello, and then quickly rushed him inside Maddie's room. Liam sat him on the bed and threw his arms up into the air.

"What on Earth am I supposed to do? What will my mum think? This is a disaster!" Liam blinked furiously and bit his lip. Was he going to cry.

Maddie leaned against the door way and smiled at him. "You could always just date me."

Liam  immediately gave her an it's-not-that-easy look.

"Do you know what the fans would do? The press? They'll think that our relationship started because of something intimate. To make it worse, we were both drunk at the club."

She held her hands up in defense and I felt sorry for her. Maddie was in love with this boy, she finally got her chance, and now everything was ruined. There was no way I would ever let this happen to me.

Harry finally decided to speak up.

"Liam, you're overreacting. Kristina and I are both witnesses that are able to say you were dating long before them. Or, if you don't want to date Maddie, just say you were friends in school and you just had a little too much to drink. I have rumors written about me all the time, and quite honestly, this doesn't even come close to topping mine."

We all sat there in silence as the sad truth came upon us. Nobody in the band got as much hate as Harry did. It seemed as if every time he walked out of his door, BOOM!, there was another rumor.

"Liam," Niall said slowly. "Harry's right."

"Of course I'm right," Harry sighed.

"Now isn't the time for this, Harry," Liam sighed. His eyebrows were creased and he tried not to look at Harry. Was this his angry face?

Maddie sat down on the bed and closed her eyes. "Well I'm involved in this too and it obviously seems like there's only one option."

I hadn't really expected Maddie's input on the situation, so I listened intentively. Liam seemed geniuely curious as to what she had to say, so for a moment he stopped glaring at Harry at focused all of his attention on the girl.

"We break it off."
