/36/ THIS IS A MISSION
“Jesus says; "For where two
or three gather in my name,
there am I with them.”- Matthew 18:20
KHEL'S POV
MEERA DIDN'T WAKE UP.
For now.
In her hospital room, lying on her bed, she's asleep with oxygen mask covering half of her face. Ang heart-rate machine sa gilid ng kama niya ay patuloy na nagbi-beep, with lines moving on its screen.
Her father, on the other hand, never leave her side.
It's heartbreaking, I know.
"Salamat, mga anak," Mr. Guizon said.
Her statement made me glance to Meera's direction. She's peacefully lying on the bed, like Sleeping Beauty. But she doesn't need a kiss to wake up, she needs a miracle.
Only God can give her that.
"Wala ba kayong klase?
Tsk.
"Totoo naman, ah! Kopyador ka eh! Pasalamat ka't may matalino kang kaibigan," Narri fired back.
Brint, too. "An'sama!
"Ah? Talaga? Alin d'on?"
"Iyung part na fill in the blanks."
"Sinungaling! Wala namang fill in the blanks sa homework na pinasa n'yo eh."
"Meron!"
"Wala!"
"Meron nga!"
"Wala nga!"
