Righteous art thou,
O Lord, and upright
are thy judgements

NARRI'S POV

I should have been careful. Kung alam ko lang na mangyayari ito, I should have been more cautious.

Sadness in his eyes, a father who's afraid to lose his daughter.

Sitting on a monobloc near Meera's bed, I keep quite.

At that moment, a flashback came into my mind.

"God is good, Narri. Don't worry, gagaling din ako! Ano ka ba?"  natatawang sabi ni Meera.

That was on summer vacation, bago ang school days. She was being diagnosed with her "brain tumor" and she was charged in the hospital for months.

Nakaupo siya sa kaniyang kama, with her hospital gown and playing the strings of her guitar.

"Oh, the overwhelming, never ending, reckless love of God. Oh, it chases me down, fights till I found and leaves the ninety nine..."  Meera started singing while plucking her instrument.  "...I couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it, still You gave Yourself away..."

I stare at her with concerned eyes.

I bet!"

Her faith never fails. She's the most steadfast faithful woman I have ever met.

At ilang araw bago nga magsimula ang first day of school, nagkatotoo ang sinabi niya. Meera was discharged from the hospital.

"Waaah! 'Insan!"

Meera finally left the hospital. As I saw her entering the living room, hindi ako nag-atubiling tumakbo at niyakap siya.

"Finally, you're home!" I hugged her tight. "Thank God! Praise the Lord, 'insan! You were healed! God is really good!"

"I told you. Hindi ako pababayaan ni God. He is merciful.
