"Are you sure? I'm sure driver-nim won't mind."

Irene tightened her hold on Byulyi's hand, her determined yet concerned eyes switched between the latter and Jin who stood not too far behind them.

"Thank you for the offer Irene-ssi but I'll take the bus," Jin said, "Yongsunssi and Yoongi already left with their drivers. You two probably should too."

"How about you Byulyi-ah?

She flicked her head sideways. "I'll take the bus."

He swiftly turned his head to look at her with a raised brow. "No," he protested, "You go with her. You still need to get your wounds treated."

Byulyi directed her bright smile to Irene, pointedly ignoring the boy next to her. "Don't listen to him, Irene. I'll take the bus," she said, raising her brows to convey another message she couldn't say.

"But Byulyi—"

"Irene," Byulyi emphasized with a squeeze of her hand and widening of her eyes, "my good good friend Irene. I don't want to inconvenience you or anything so I'll take the bus."

Irene's brows crossed themselves as she stared pointedly at Byulyi's oddly crisp smile, looking for the answer to her riddle from the girl's twinkling eyes. It would be a second later when realization would dawn on her.

"Ooooh," Irene exhaled as Byulyi slowly nodded to her, pleased that her message was delivered. "Oh I see. You'll take the bus."

Byulyi's smile widened. "Yeah. The bus."

A line connected the two girl's brains that only they could see. From behind them, Jin stepped into Irene's vision. "Are you guys seeing something that I'm not?"

"Nothing!" Irene sang with a tone of voice that said that it was actually not nothing. As if burned by its heat, she unclasped her hands from Byulyi's and scrambled to open the car door.

Jin walked closer to Byulyi. He nudged her towards the car just as Irene slid inside. "Get inside. It's la—"

Irene slammed the car door loudly. Slowly, the car started rolling forward.

"Irene-ssi, Byulyi's still—"

"Take care you two!" Irene said a little louder than usual as she waved her hand goodbye in the air, a knowing smile mirroring Byulyi's on her lips.

"Wait! Byulyi's still—"

"Eoh," Byulyi replied louder even though Irene was only five steps away, her smudged hand waving goodbye, "And call me once you get home!"

"Okay!"

Byulyi stuck her thumbs on the straps of her bag as she swung back and forth on her heels and her ankles, a victorious smile on her lips, a bright twinkle in her eyes.

"I hope you're calling your own driver because like hell I'm letting you take the bus."

Byulyi rolled her eyes yet the smile didn;t budge from her lips. "Shut up and start walking." She gripped his wrist and tugged him forward.

Jin stumbled forward as he let her pull him forward. Judging just from the sound of her voice, he knew that a smile so wide sat on her face it could have split her face into two..

"Yah, I'm serious here! Your wound needs to be treated," he protested, yet following her step after step she took.

"Then you treat my wounds."

The amount of trust this girl had on him was incredible. Just an hour ago she was on a two-week personal mission to pretend like he never existed and now she was asking him to dress her wound.
