We soon left the bathtub, I had become very picky about pruny hands and toes, and was anxious to leave once I noticed as such, all of which Dimitri happily complied. I made quick work of dinner, a simple spaghetti and marinara with meatballs, along with some quick garlic bread. Setting our plates out, I sauntered over to the living room to see Dimitri's brows pinched, talking irritatedly on the phone with someone, seeing me he was about to hang up but I shook my head, moving behind him and rubbing the knots and stress from his neck and shoulders. His scent of sandalwood flowed lazily, earning quiet purrs from myself as the person on the other end continued to jabber on, Dimitri seemed to have had enough "I told you I would be gone for the week. This is not an emergency, and it seems I need to find someone to do your job for you, unless you can get it done?" the person seemed to quickly agree, and Dimitri hung up, pulling my chin down into a kiss "Thank you sweetheart" I smiled at him and was wrapped in a tight hug, of which I was happy to return, purring quietly and taking in his presence. 

We sat down at dinner, chatting and snuggling up like a newly married couple, Dimitri kept his hand gently set on my abdomen, rubbing circles into the slight chubbiness I had gained already. Once we were done, he insisted on doing the dishes, scooping me up and setting my on the couch not unlike what I'd done earlier, earning a laugh from myself. 

It was time to sleep at last and I was still tired, thanking pregnancy for my lack of jet lag, and Dimitri was as well, the dark circles under his eyes showing for anything. Around 9:00 I nudged my alpha into bed, curling around his body and snuggling up, purring softly as we both drifted off to sleep. Dimitri managed to fall asleep first, and I silently traced the outlines of his face in the dim moonlight, taking in every scar and freckle that I'd grown to love so much. I smiled, satisfied, and fell asleep along side him.
