I was heading for Soverign's stall to get him ready for today's team practice with Halloway, when I spot the team with Mia in the driveway. Amber was with me. She grins widely at the Hawthorn.
It was the day of Bright Fields' Annual Friendlies, where we go up against Halooway in a show of camaraderie.

I set down my grooming kit and Pin smiles at me as we jog over to them. Pin catches me as I throw myself on him in a hug, and Callum and Gaby roll their eyes.
"Hi, Pin!" Amber greets brightly.
"Hey, Am. How are you?" He returns, smiling back down at the blonde.
"Great! I'm really looking forward to watching today's Friendlies. Mum's coming later to cheer Em on," Says Amber.
I ignore them as Pin sets me down on my feet, hands resting on my waist. "You're late," I greet him.
"That's what Mia just told us," He says.
"I hope you don't feel bad about losing to your boyfriend, Emma," Gaby mocks me.
"I could say the same for you, Halloway! Soverign and I can take you down any day! And, if I'm facing off against Pin... so be it," I say with my arms crossed and a flick of my eyebrow. "I'll crush him just as I'll crush the rest of you chumps in the battlefield!"
