Emma's P. O. V:

The morning after Tryouts, I get dressed in a long sleeved white shirt with horses printed on it and my trotting horse necklace, red sleeveless vest and black jodhpurs, my hair in a ponytail, and have a quick breakfast of coco pops before I get Hugo tacked up and head for Pin's house.

After the paramedics checked on Pin, Ted had taken him home while the rest of us went back to the stables. I hadn't slept that well last night as I was worried about Pin.

When he'd collapsed so suddenly, I felt like my heart had stopped.

I trot Hugo up to Pin's house right now and see him asleep on a rocking chair outside, a blanket over his legs. I dismount and tie Hugo up beside Elvis before I take off my helmet, clipping it to my stirrup leather and go up to him.

"Hey!" I call, gently shaking his knee as his eyes peel open and blink me into focus.

"Hey," Says Pin more tiredly as he pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Hey!" Pin coughs sharply, making me pull a face as I cross my arms. "Ugh. You look terrible!"

"Thanks," He chuckles before coughing again as I giggle. "Everything okay?"

I heave a sigh as I reply, "Well, someone's definitely taken the herd, but Zoe says she's on the case. And I'm going to help her."

"I meant about Tryouts," Says Pin, making me pause.

"Tryouts? No. That's like, the last thing on my mind. But I didn't make the team, not that that matters to me at the moment." I see Ted coming out with a bowl of steaming soup. I ask as I grip the blanket, "Um, shouldn't we get him inside? It's—It's a little cold out here."

Ted replies, "Well, err, it's a bit damp in there, sadly."

Ted hands Pin the bowl as he says insistently, "It's fine, dad. I like being outside. And, um, I'm going to go with Emma and Zoe." He sets the bowl on the table as he starts to get up, coughing. "To look for the herd."
