Dad Hawks

Day 8

Hawks landed and picked a random door. He placed the little car seat on the porch "Don't worry baby bird, dad's doing this so you can have a better normal life. I love you." He knocked before flying off.

Hawks put on his best smile before opening the door "Welcome to the commission-!" He stopped dead in his tracks as he sees his daughter standing next to the head of the commission, she turned and smiled wide when she saw him "Hi Hawks-senpai! I can't wait to start working with you, look we even have matching wings isn't that cool!?" 

The commission lady patted your head "You and Hawks can get to know each other on patrol later, for now, go get your hero suit on." "Yes ma'am!" You rushed off as she walked up to Hawks "Did you really think you could hide her from us?" He looked up, defeated "How long have you known?" She smiled "Since you abandoned her on that doorstep-" "I didn't abandon her, I was protecting her." She patted his shoulder as she walked away "Whatever helps you sleep at night." 

He put his smile back on as you rushed into the room with your costume on.

You two had stopped for a little rest in an alley "So your mom is cool with you becoming a hero so young?" He noticed you frowned "She uh, she not around anymore." "And you dad?" "Dont have one, mom said she opened the door and poof their I was." He nodded, feeling bad "Come on kid, lets ditch and go get you an ice cream." "But-" "Come on, your only a kid once!"

Hawks' creaked the door to your room open to see you asleep. He went over and picked your sleeping form up before flying out the window, when you stirred in his arms he shushed you "It's alright, go back to sleep. I failed you once, I won't this time. Promise."
