Over the next week, Josh and Tyler have been texting any chance they could, which to Josh's surprise, was more than he thought they would. Tyler asked him how his ankle healed and the two of them spent days playing 21 questions and learning eachothers icks about things. Josh loved it.

Josh was currently sitting on Darren's couch watching him play Grand Theft Auto, well Darren was playing Grand Theft Auto and Josh was texting Tyler.

"Dude you aren't even watching me rob people what's got you glued to your phone?" Darren asked as he paused the game. Josh finally looked up from his phone at the sound of another person voice. He cocked his head. "Should you really be playing that with our children present?" Josh teased.

Darren rolled his eyes. "See that's how I know you aren't paying attention to me because our children left with Mia to Walmart 30 minutes ago." Josh blushed. "Oh."

"Who are you texting-Oh my god are you texting that guy that fixed your ankle? Why didn't you tell me? Why are you being so secretive? Have you guys hung out? Have-" Darren rambled before Josh cut him off. "Dude calm down I am not being secretive. No we haven't hung out again we've just been texting." The tips of his ears hot and prominent.

"Do you want to see him again?"

The million dollar question. Of course Josh wants to see him again. No one has made him laugh that much in such a short amount of time. Something about the doed eyed boy makes Josh want to drop everything and be with him 24/7. He just doesn't think he deserves it.

"Of course I want to see him again but..." Josh trailed. "But what?" Darren asked. "He's younger than me." Josh admitted. "Okay...How much?" Darren responded curiously. "He's 25."

Darren let out the loudest scoff. "Josh really? You're 27 almost 28 that's not even that bad why are you self sabotaging right now? Didn't you say he was a doctor? It's not like he's some lowlife loser, there is nothing wrong with that age difference. If you don't text him I will."

Josh bit his lip and played with his hands. "B-but what about Laila and Grayson? I haven't told him about them and I have to think of them first."

Darren sat his controller down on the coffee table and turned towards Josh and rubbed his hands on his face. "Josh, listen I love you dearly you know that. You give and give and give for your children, you are the best dad I know and of course that's what you're supposed to do but at some point you need to save room for yourself or else you will forget who you are. Just go on a silly little date with the guy. Who knows where it will lead? If you want to tell him about the twins right away that is your decision. If you want to tell the twins about him that is also your decision I cannot tell you what to do, but I think you deserve to do something for yourself."

The other bit back a smile. "You know you're my best friend right?"

"Of course. I've known that ever since you showed up to our minimum wage food service job back when we were 22 with a shirt that said "Boner Donor" Darren reminisced as he playfully hit Josh's shoulder.

Josh cringed at the memory. "Yikes, you're really bringing out the old archive's arent you." It was silent after that and Josh took it as an opportunity to pull out his phone to text Tyler. He was so nervous.

Josh: Hey...Do you maybe want to get dinner together tomorrow night?

Tyler: Tsk Tsk are you asking me on a date Joshua?

Josh: ...Maybe? Yes or no tell me before I pass away.

Tyler: Ha! You're cute. I would love too. We could meet at a restaurant at 7?
