MANI // I woke up to my alarm going off. 💭Another day of hell💭

I got up putting on some grey fitted joggers with a white half shirt and put on my Air Force 1's. I went into the bathroom and started brushing my teeth and washing my face with dove face wash. I then did my hair with and put it in a slick back bun.

I walked out the bathroom, grabbed my phone off the bed and went downstairs. And as usual, nobody was here.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana but me and my mom moved to Lafayette, Louisiana after my father went to jail. My mom works a lot and I'm the only child so I don't have any siblings.

My dad is in jail for something stupid. He wants the best for me but he had to be out on the streets.

I'm a Junior in high school. This is the last day of school, then it's Christmas break.

Since I'm only 16, I don't have a car yet. I can't get a car yet because in order to take the driving test, we have to a parent signature. Me and my mom isn't close like that.

I texted my friend Aliyah to see if she can pick me up.

I waited for 10mins. I heard a honk and I grabbed my bag, keys, and jacket. I walked out the door, closing it behind me and started walking to the car.

I got into the car and closed the door.

Aliyah: bout time
Me: oh hush I wasn't that long
Aliyah: whatever you say mamas
Me: omg you're so gay 😂

Aliyah took off and we rode to school listening to music.

We finally pulled up to school and we immediately saw our other two friends standing outside waiting for us.

Lai: FINALLY
Journee: Do y'all know how cold it is, got us standing outside in this type of weather.
Me: Wasn't even that long fr

We walked in the school and I stopped and sighed.

Aliyah: you good ?
Me: I don't wanna be here
Lai: It's okay, this our last day here then it's Christmas break
Journee: Then we will have the time of our lives.
Me: yea I guess so.

We continued to walk when somebody bumped into me. I looked back, irritated, and saw a tall brownskin boy.

???: My fault ian see you

I rolled my eyes and kept walking.

Me: Just because I'm 5'3 don't mean people can just act like they don't see me
Journee: 😂😂
Lai: it's okay girl, we all short.
Me: 🙄

We walked to our first period, Geometry, and I wanted to leave already.

I sat in my seat and put my head down.

Ms. Finkle: Hello everyone, since it's the last week before Christmas break, we are going to do a little project. Now it's not a normal project, you have to choose 8 people for this project. After you choose your 8 people, I'm going to tell you what to do next.

I picked my head up and groaned in frustration. That's why I saw Lai, Aliyah, and Journee, walk towards me.

We sat together and we looked around and saw everybody in a group of 8 people, except us.

Ms. Finkle: do everybody have their group of 8 ? Oh, I see we have two groups of 4 . How about you 4 go over there with the 4 girls.

I looked up and saw she was pointing to three boys and one girl. They began walking towards us with mugs on their faces. They sat down and we all sat in silence.

Ms. Finkle: Okay now that everybody has they group of 8, y'all will be spending Christmas break together. After Christmas break, y'all will come back and write a one page about how your Christmas break went.

The bell rang and we all got up and before me and the girls could walk away, we got stopped by the same 4 people.

???: well since we gone be together all Christmas break, can we get y'all number to stay in touch.
Me: no
???: damn you one rude bitch
Me: call me a bitch again ima slit your throat
???: I wanna see you try it

The boy got up in my face and I couldn't do nun but back away, then I noticed it was the same boy that bumped into me in the hallway.

Me: look here lu boy, you don't know me so get tf out my face
???: come on dawgg sheen worth it fr

He backed away and I rolled my eyes.

The rest of the day was irritating.

It was finally the end of the day, I walked out side and walked to where the girls were then I saw the other 4.

Me: come on and let's go
???: you can't say hey or nun ma
Me: tf I gotta say hey for, ion know y'all tf
???: lose the attitude fam
Lai: ALRIGHT LETS GOOOO
???: wait let's get y'all number first
Me: 🙄 mmhm

We exchanged numbers and me and the girls left to my house.

Once we got there I threw my stuff down and sighed in relief. That's when my phone started blowing up.

Lai: I'm about to invite them over
Me: GIRL NO
Journee: Bru we jus got out of school don't invite them over wtf
Aliyah: all jokes aside, y'all seen that girl 👀.
Journee: you just gay
Aliyah: GAY FOR HER

I shook my head while laughing and went upstairs to my room.

The girls basically live here, since we all have family problems.
