Luke's POV:
"Visitors for Katie McLain?" The receptionist asks looking directly at me, knowing I have been waiting for hours to see her. I jump out of my seat and rush over to her. "right this way." she says with sad eyes, she opens the door and we walk in to the ER. "okay, so she is pretty bad. just don't hug her or do anything that could harm her anymore. she can't respond because like I said, she is in a coma. you can go in now." she pats my back as I walk in. as I see her my heart breaks, I fall to the floor and start sobbing. she had a cast on her leg and her left arm. she had bruises all over and her eye was swollen, she had a bandage wrapped around her head and staples in her head too. there was to many cuts to count. I notice that she's probably in more pain than I am, so I pull it together and walk over to the chair next to her. as I take her hand in mine I start to talk, "babe? Listen I know you can't respond, or probably hear me, but I want to say I love you. it looks like you went to hell and back but you don't deserve it, you don't deserve any of this. I'm a shitty boyfriend because I almost kicked alli out but she came to tell me that you got beaten up. you don't deserve it." I start to cry again, but talk through the tears. "I don't deserve to be your boyfriend, you are perfect and look what it has gotten you. all I do is cause you pain so when you wake up I want to give you a choice, I can be out of your life... or I can stay. it's all up to you. I love you so much and this has broken my heart. you are amazing, and you need to be reminded ( 😉 iloveyoutomlinson ) you deserve so much better." he says as he finally breaks, screaming and crying to the point where he makes himself sick.

Luke comes every day for weeks, it has been a month and a half and Katie has still not woken up. luke has not done anything else than wake up and go to the hospital to see her, barely ever eating and has lost a lot of weight, resulting in him looking like a stick and becoming very week. luke became depressed but ashton, Michael, and Calum do everything they can to help. they go with him to the hospital and get him food, which he doesn't eat.

Katie's pov:
I can hear everything, when luke talks and sings to me. when he whispers sweet nothings in my ear, but I can't respond... I can't move, I can't talk, I can't do anything. luke comes everyday and it breaks my heart that I can't respond, tell him I'm listening, tell him I don't want him to leave.... tell him to eat, tell him to be happy, tell him I love him and care about him, tell him to get some rest. but I cant, and maybe never will....
