Lizzie POV:
It was now about 5:05 pm and me and my family started swimming to the Mesa. The excitement took over my mind. I couldn't wait to see Joel again! Yes I only saw him like ten minutes ago but I don't care! We got onto land just outside of the gate and changed into humans. My mother knocked on the door and it opened to reveal Joel's parents. Where was he? Did something happen in the time I didn't see you? I began to get a little bit worried when I heard somebody rush down the stairs.
J: Are they here yet? Sorry I took longer than expected, I wanted to look nice for Lizzie!
He stopped when he saw me and my family.
J: and her family! For Lizzie and her family!
It made me laugh a little but I hid it with a cough.
JM: Okay, follow me this way and we can wait in the dining hall whilst the food is prepared.
J: Mother? Can me and Lizzie wait in the living room next door?
JM: Okay, that's fine.
3rd Person:
Lizzie and Joel went into the room and sat on the sofa next to each other. They were laughing and making inside jokes and spoke about themselves in more detail.
L: Where's the bathroom?
J: Follow me, I'll show you!
They got up and Joel took Lizzie to the bathroom and told her to walk back the same way when she was done. She nodded and went in so Joel went back to the living room. He sat down and then Jimmy walked in.
Ji: Where's Lizzie?
J: She just went to the bathroom. You're welcome to sit down.
Jimmy sat down on the other side of the sofa from Joel.
J: Is there anything that Lizzie hasn't told me about her?
Ji: Did she tell you that when we she was 6 and I was 3 that we got invaded by the salmon and by the Grim lands king so we had to stay in an amethyst geode under the base for like a month until it was over.
J: Yeah she mentioned it but I remember seeing it on the news the day after it was over. Everyone thought that you left your post as the rulers of the sea.
Ji: Yeah! Did she tell you that she started not liking you because you got scared of her when she swam by one day.
J: Yes and she has said that she won't let me forget it. Jimmy and Joel laugh
Ji: And has she mentioned that she has a massive crush on you? Closes hands over his mouth
J: No. She hasn't.
Ji: Then if you don't know that then you clearly don't know that she is extremely excited for the wedding and regrets hating you?
J: She hasn't mentioned that either.
Ji: I need to stop saying these things! I'm just gonna go back in there and wait for Lizzie to kill me.
Jimmy left the room leaving Joel shocked that the girl he loves loves him back. A few seconds later Lizzie came back into the room.
L: Sorry. I took so long. I got a bit lost on the way back.
J: I-It's fine
Lizzie sat back down next to him and saw him sat in shock with a blush lurking over his face.
L: Are you okay?
J: Yeah, yeah. I'm fine! Jimmy just came in here and told me something.
L: Oh no! no! no! no! I know what he said! Oh gosh! Please don't let this change our friendship. I've never felt this way towards anybody before.
J: It doesn't change anything Lizzie. I haven't felt like this either.
L: Oh thank you so much. I understand if you don't feel the same.
J: I-
JM: Come on in now, the food is ready.
J: Okay mother.
His mum left the room leaving them alone again.
L: We can talk about this later Joel.
Lizzie walked into the dining room, leaving Joel alone.
