The Big Day

I woke up in the middle of the night too excited to go back to sleep. Today was the day I finally get to join Fairy Tail. I'm not really sure why we can't join until today but, oh well. My brother and I have been waiting for this day. To be honest, we've never even been to the guild hall before. Probably because of some stupid rule the council made. I'm really excited to join, but unfortunately it's not that easy. We have to go through some sort of test and I've heard that it's really hard.

I got up out of my bed and walked over to my dresser that's in between my bed and my sisters bunk bed. I opened the top drawer slowly, careful not to make a sound. Once I fully opened the drawer, I pulled out my clothes and carefully pushed it shut. I looked over to my sisters to make sure I didn't wake them. They were still asleep, snoring quietly. I smiled while I looked at them. They've gotten to be quite the roommates, ever since Ashley turned 8. They always fight and I'm the one who has to break them up. I bet Igneel has it easy, he only has one roommate.

I quietly walked into the darkened hallway. I tip-toed to the bathroom trying not to make the floorboards squeak to much. I reached the room at the end of the hall right by my parents room. I could hear my dad snoring loudly through the walls. I walked into the bathroom and set my clothes down on the counter and turned on the light. I started the water making sure it was the right temperature. Nice and hot, just the way I like it. It makes sense, since I have my dads fire dragon slayer magic. I stepped into the tub and poured in the scented bubbles. I relaxed and thought about what was going to happen today.

Dad said something about a really hard test, hopefully its not too hard. Sure, I could handle it but what about Nashi? Or the twins? What if it was too hard? I'm sure the test won't be, my dad probably just said that to get us to try our best. Yeah, lets go with that.

Once I got clean, I stepped out and wrapped myself in a towel. The mirrors that hang on the door and above the sink, now all foggy. All I could see was my blurry image.

I'm not perfect, I'm too skinny and my skin is too pale. My younger sister Nashi even has bigger breasts than I do. I mean, they're not small, but they're not big either. My face is to chubby, even if I have nice cheek bones. My hair and my eyes are the only things I like about my look. The pink hair and brown eyes are really the only things likable.

I grab my clothes and start to put them on. Today, my mother told us to wear a certain kind of uniform. An orange shirt, a black skirt that stopped midthigh, and black boots. My guess is that we have to wear these so we all look the same.

I walked out of the bathroom back to my room, quietly opening the door and slipping inside. I put my dirty pajamas into the laundry basket and started to make my bed. With my bed almost made, I checked the time, 3:35. I've been up for almost four hours, time sure fly's. I finished making my bed and turned to my desk, grabbing my sketchbook before I made my way down stairs.

I really like drawing. Its like an escape from reality for me. I mostly draw people, sometimes animals. I remember one time I was just doodling, and my mom looked over my shoulder, then she took my drawing and showed everyone. I was really embarrassed, the picture she saw was really personal, but of course I didn't tell her that. It doesn't really matter now anyway, once they saw it and told me it was really good, I started to draw a lot more often. I got really good too.

As I made my way down stairs, my stomach grumbled, telling me its was time to eat. I didn't even realize I was hungry. I walked into the kitchen and turned the light on. Our house wasn't very big. Just a two story, with a small basement. The kitchen was the second biggest room in the house, and definitely my favorite room too. I pulled out a large bowl to start making breakfast. I decided since today was special, I would make a special breakfast too. I grabbed the cook book off of the counter and flipped through its pages.
