Chapter twenty-nine

Leahs POV

Liam eyes flicker open. I had barley realized I was awake and staring. "What you lookin at?" He asks. My face flushes. "Uhhh the pillow. There's a um... drool stain." I try. He laughs. "Leah, you're a bad liar." I roll my eyes. "I am not! It's true! You got your nasty saliva all over my pillow! How rude." But I laugh instantly after saying this. He laughs too. I kiss his cheek. "It's a work day... come on let's hustle, we gotta get ready." I say. He nods.

I touch the floor with my bare feet and the cold feeling of the tile, sends shivers down my spine. Liam rolls out of bed and pads his way to the bathroom. I fallow, hot on his tail. "What ya doin? Are you trynna take a shower without me?" I whine. He chuckles a little but starts taking his clothes off and tossing them to the side. In return I do the same because there is no way in hell this human is allowed to shower without me ever again. "Leah, what are you doing?" He asks looking behind him at me. "Uhhh, saving water? Or maybe trying not to take up too much time because I would have to wait for you to get out?" I wanted it to sound more like a statement but I'm too dumb sometimes.

He starts the shower but before he gets in he puts toothpaste on his toothbrush, runs it under the water and starts brushing his teeth. "Are you going to brush your teeth in the shower? Who the hell does that?" I laugh louder than ever. He just gives me a look. "Try it." He slurs through toothpaste and a toothbrush. So I do the same. We both head in the shower brushing our teeth. I'm first to wash my hair, rinse my mouth, and clean my body. As soon as I finish I exit the shower and put my toothbrush in it's assigned place.

I head to my room in search of work clothes. I pull out a plane white button down with skinny jeans. Not the best, most professional work clothes. I throw on my clothes just as Liam comes out of the shower. "Need a ride to work?" He offers but I simply shake my head. "You get out after me I'm not waiting for you, I'm coming home." I laugh. He kisses my cheek. "I love you, be safe, I'll lock up when I head out." I nod and kiss his cheek too.

My white heels clacking behind me. Coffee sounds good about now. Before work I go get myself some coffee. When I get to work the office is full of busy body's. Everywhere. I take my usual flight (elevator) up to my office. I'm expecting a bunch of paperwork but there's nothing. "Christiana, where's all my work?" I ask because she had just walked in. "Oh, what work? We took care of it for the couple days you hadn't come in." She smiles. I frown. "What am I supposed to do then?" Generally confused. She chuckles. "Nothing. There's nothing to do today. This is every bosses dream come true." But this dream come true isn't mine. I simply just smile and say thank you.

I was missing Liam like crazy. His smile, his voice, his kiss, and his hot sex. Leah wipe that thought from your head. This is work. I did notice a bunch of emails so I respond to each of them. By the time I'm finshed it's 6:30 in the afternoon. I clear my desk and decide it's been a day. I head straight home for Liam. My stomach doing little flips. I wonder if he's been missing me the same way I have him. I pull into the terminal and notice his truck is already here. I frown a little, confused. I open my apartment door to a sleeping Liam on my couch. I smile. I go to my room to put on some pajamas.

"Liam...?" I shake him a little and kiss his forehead. His eyes flutter open and he looks at me and smiles. "Hey, I missed you. I got off early, they said everything was good. No more work left for me today." He tells me. I kiss his lips. "Oh how I missed you. So much more than I could say. Are you hungry? I'm hungry." I tell him. He smiles. "Chinese takeout?" I think about it for a second and then nod. These nights were getting better. Coming home to him was like heaven.
