Chapter 9: Hidden under the umbrella.

According to the title, I think you know who I'll be talking about. One of the well-known crime lords in Gotham- Oswald Cobblepot. Aka, the Penguin. And why does his name relate to the umbrella? Because he was an umbrella man back then. But I think the biggest reason that it could be related to him, is probably because he uses modified guns in the shape of an umbrella. Also, he has some weapons that are perfectly thought out. Like a sharp knife hidden in his cane for example. So are you ready to see what our infamous Joker has planned for him?

Meanwhile in HaHacienda

The Joker was looking through some papers on his desk. It was about his business finances. And since he is a very paranoid person, he wouldn't let anyone check it but him.

But it is not the kind of thing he would get any thrill out of. In fact, dealing with papers was so boring for him. Also, he was waiting to get some news. Something that could be of one hell of a use.

After about three hours, Jester returned to the madhouse. From the first glance The Joker could tell that his twin managed to complete the mission successfully. You see, sometimes having a sibling had its pros. Like, you can give them some orders. And The Joker knew quite well that his brother would always be there for him. He would do anything to protect his twin. Even if it was against his lifestyle.

" So, what about our birdy? He didn't see you, right?"

Yeah, The Joker ordered his twin to spy on the Penguin. And you could ask, why Jester? He has plenty of clowns that could do it. Even his trusty henchman Frost. But he choose his brother over them. Cause The Joker was aware of his twin's abilities. He knew that Jester was always careful. That he paid attention to things that nobody else does. And since he had a professional under his spell, he wanted to use some of the qualities of a professional surgeon.

" Nah, he didn't see anything."

" Ahh, I see you are quite specialized in being sneaky. Considering you managed to track the Poison Weed last night," The Joker said with a playful smirk. Messing with his twin was one of his favorite things.

" That's different. Though, she wasn't aware of that, either." Jester smiled remembering her nickname for him.

" And why are you smiling mister Sherlock? You like her, don't you?" The Joker said continuing with his annoying assault.

" It's nothing. I just want to have some friends. Not of the kind that you gather together, drink all day and pass out. But someone to talk to. " Jester cut his eyes at his twin. " And I thought you were friends with Oswald. What's changed?" Jester tried to avoid the subject.

" Nothing changed. I am trying to understand why he is protecting that son of a bitch. Unless I have something form of blackmail, I probably won't find out. " The Joker explained." So what do you have?"

" All of the places he went to seemed usual for him. Like Iceberg Lounge, or some sort of drug basement. All related to his business. Until I saw something different." Jester said.

" And what is it?" The Joker raised his non-existent eyebrows.

" He visited Gotham State Orphanage. " Jester explained.

" Maybe he was doing some charity related thing. I remember there was a boy named Martin that he visited. He has an emphatic side, considering he grew up alone." The Joker mentioned to Jester.

" I don't think so. He didn't have any things to donate. He talked to a boy with blonde hair. I couldn't see the face. But I think he is probably 11 or 12 years. " Jester replied.

" A boy? Who do you think that might be?" The Joker asked.

" Like I said. I couldn't see the face. I think Oswald is purposely hiding the boy. Probably someone related to him. " Jester gave some papers to The Joker. " I managed to get the list of children in there. However, there is nothing related to the Cobblepot name I'm afraid."
