Chapter three

When he got home his mom was dressed up Not overly dressed but did her hair nicely on it was 6:00 and they heard a knock 'I'll get it!' Georgie said sprinting to the door it was Jason he was wearing black jeans a shirt and a football Jersey in black with a cartoon skull instead of a letter.

'Hiya Georgie' he said 'hi come in dinners nearly done' he said after standing there for a minute 'hello mrs.Cooper I brought you something' he said hading her a gift bag it was a nice bottle of wine and I mean REALLY nice 'aww that is so sweet.. Georgie go in the other room I want to talk with him a bit' she said putting the wine away Georgie left the room a bit nervous was she gonna bring up what she heard in the car

'My gran always says never go to a house for the first time without a gift' he said smiling 'that's so sweet do you see your grandma a lot?' Mary asked

'Well considering I live with her yeah' he chuckled. 'Why don't you live with your parents?' She asked 'oh Um messy divorce.. I ended up staying with my gran!' He said trying not to be awkward 'oh I am so sorry for asking' she said embarrassed

Skip to dinner

'How come Georgie gets a boyfriend! Im not even allowed one' missy complained'because your brothers older then ya' George said 'so uh Jason how come I never see you at church?' Oh hid the question Georgie feared she'd ask ' oh I don't think they'd welcome me their I tried to go when the other paster was there but I was banned due to you know.. being...' he said as he did a hand motion

'Well I'm sure Pasteur Jeff will welcome you, I could ask him for you'
'Mary leave the boy alone' George said putting down his beer 'I just wanna know who my little boy is dating George.' She said jolting her neck to look at george

'It's fine mr.cooper I don't mind' he said trying to deescalate the situation 'um.... Jason do you like football?' George said trying to change the topic
'Not really I watch the games but I don't really support anyone'
'Well at least I have something we can talk about' he laughed

'Ok I'm gonna mention it. Why did you try and...do the devils dance with my son in that car.' She whispered the devil part
Georgie choked on his food and yelled 'MOM' 'What! I'm trying to understand why at your age your doing that stuff.' She said like she didn't get knocked up before marriage.

'It was just a joke ma'am, it was a reference to the movie..' he managed to convince her it was a rob zombie reference. Somehow

The awkward dinner continued until it was time for Jason to go home 'oh don't be silly you can't walk back at this time! George will drive you' Mary insisted 'I will?' 'You will.' 'I will' he said getting up they both headed to his truck

'So...how's your grandma?' George said trying to make small talk with his sons boyfriend 'she's good..she's good'
'...your jackets cool the little skull..instead of a letter...' he was trying to act cool but this was so much more awkward then driving one of Georgie's girlfriends.. mainly bc he never had too...

He dropped Jason off and headed back,
When he got back he heard Mary and Georgie arguing 'oh Christ, what now?' He yelled
'He's mad at me for "embarrassing him" I'm your mother I'm allowed to embarrass you!
'Mary he has a point did you need to mention the car? It's not like he can get knocked up' he said annoyed

'Listen he is sinful enough but premarital sex as well? He's gonna go to hell!' She realised what she said after it left her mouth. Georgie's hand facepalmed him and slid down ' is that what you think of me? SINFUL? Now do you get why I didn't want to tell you!' He said storming to his room because dad had the keys to the truck.

'Mary what the hell! Why did you say that!' He shouted 'I-i don't know! It just slipped out I didn't mean to!' She said cupping her hands around her face. George just walked out the room

The next day Georgie got up and didn't speak to his mom all day not breakfast not after school only at diner Mary said 'I'm sorry for what I said Georgie. I was mad, I didn't think before I spoke I'm sorry'
'What happened?' Asked sheldon 'nothing' George said 'Georgie's boyfriend came over for dinner while you were at tams and afterwords mom called Georgie sinful' Missy said 'oh my god I can't believe I missed that' memaw chuckled 'why the hell would you say that to your own son Mary.' Memaw yelled 'Like I said I wasn't thinking straight!'

Georgie got up and headed for his room
