Aurora POV
As I sat there, talking about the work environment at the club, I noticed that Lorenzo wasn't focused on me at all.

He was staring at something- someone on the dance floor.

I followed his gaze to see the girl that Javier and Antonio were with the other night but, she was dancing with another man.

She began kissing his neck and toying with him as they danced, so I turned to look at Lorenzo who was still blankly staring at the scene.

"Lorenzo?" I said, moving myself so I would block his gaze.

He snapped out of it and looked at me again.

"Sorry, tesoro; I got distracted. Can you excuse me for a few minutes?"
[translation: darling]

Why did he call me that?

I nodded and allowed him to leave, watching as he went straight for the girl who had finally realised that Lorenzo was there.

Her eyes widened in shock and I got up from my seat, deciding to take over the bar again so I could continue working.

As I did, I subtly watched the scene as Lorenzo began speaking to her as she stood there.

She pushed away the man that she had been dancing with, then Lorenzo and her went outside together.

Oh shit.

I let the person who was already at the bar to continue what they were doing, slipping away quickly so that my absence wouldn't be noticed.

I went towards the back exit, and snuck around the building till I saw Lorenzo and the girl standing there as they argued.

"What the hell is wrong with you? You're dating Javier and you told me that you were coming to the club with him and Antonio, and I see you here dancing with another man and kissing him?!" Lorenzo shouted, running his hand over his face in frustration.

Dating Javier? So they're together...

"Lorenzo, I'm sorry. I won't do it again, I swear it."

"Lies. You can't prove that to me. I'm leaving and as soon as I see Javier, I'm telling him the truth." He said, turning on his heels.

She grabbed his hand and turned him so he was facing her then slapped him across the face.

This puta.

"You won't say shit to him. I'll tell him myself and I'll apologise."
Her voice had become heavily accented.

He didn't say anything at first, but I noticed that his jaw ticked. His eyes had fury raging within them.

"Don't you ever," he started, yanking his hand from her grasp, "hit me like that again. I don't hurt women, but I won't hesitate if you do it again. You will tell him the second you see him next, and so help me God, if you ever think to do something like this again- I will hurt you in ways words can't explain. Capisci?"

She nodded quickly and stepped back as Lorenzo turned to walk away.

The second he was out of earshot and his footsteps could no longer be heard, she grabbed a phone from her clutch and dialled a number.

She put it on speaker, and the unsteady dial tone was the only sound until the person on the other line picked up.

"Ana, что случилось?"
[translation: what happened?]

I didn't understand what was said but I continued to listen, hoping that she wouldn't answer in the same language.

"He caught me at the club with another man. I was trying to get information from the guy so I had to seduce him. Unlucky for me, Lorenzo was at the club and he saw me. My cover was almost blown."

So, she's just acting as Javier's girl?

"How did you blow your cover?" the other line asked.

"I smacked him and got angry so my Russian accent was coming through."

That's what the other language was...

"сука, this is why you need to keep calmer in these situations. Now go fix it, because no one is here to clean up after you."
[translation: bitch]

"Yeah yeah, whatever." She said, hanging up on the person right after.

Seeing as their conversation was over, I headed back into the bar and acted as if I hadn't been doing anything unusual by picking up orders and continuing to serve drinks.

I picked up a coke glass with a few ice cubes and a lemon floating in it and went to the table that had ordered it.

I reached the table and realised that it was Lorenzo who had ordered it.

He thanked me and gestured to the seat in front of him, so I took his offer and sat with him.

"Sorry about that, I had to deal with something. Shall we continue our conversation?"

"Sí, let's continue."

"Ti piace lavorare qui?" Lorenzo asked me, leaning back as he sipped on his drink.
[translation: do you like working here?]

"Lavoro qui solo da poco tempo, ma si mi piace."
[translation: I have only been working here for a short time, but yes I like it.]

"Per quanto tempo lavori qui?"
[translation: how long have you worked here for?]

"Due giorni."
[translation: two days]

"Ah, then I must ask someone else my questions when it comes to experiences here." He said, laughing at his statement.

I nodded and agreed, laughing lightly with him.

"Well," he said, standing from his seat, "it was nice speaking to you Rory. Hopefully we'll meet again. Grazie."

I gave him a nod and watched as he left, taking his empty glass from his table then going back to the bar.

All night, I continued to work at the bar. Drink after drink, I poured, mixed, and shook.

Looking over the crowd, I could see that it was slowly dying down.

Suddenly, a tap on my shoulder startled me, and I turned around to see Christian.

"Hey, I'm planning on closing up early. You can head home if you want to now."

"Sounds great, thanks Christian."

I gave him a wave and grabbed my coat, heading out the door.

Christmas was coming around the corner and the nights were getting colder and darker.

"It's beginning to look a lot like..."

Christmas...
