Lorenzo POV
Everything is... blurry.
I can't see straight.
There's... alcohol on the floor. The glass is shattered.
Antonio looks at me and says, "what the hell happened?"
But then I see: blood.
It's on my hands, on my shirt. There's a pool of it surrounding me and in front of me is a body.
I kneel down and see...
No. It can't be.
What the fuck have I done done?
I woke up, startled. My breath was shaky and I sat up, leaning on the backboard of my bed as I took deep breaths to calm myself down.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.I winced in pain as a headache hit me. I got up and went into the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror.
I reeked of alcohol and I couldn't remember anything that happened yesterday after I had put that knife to Anastasia's neck.
Remembering that event, I realised that Ivan would've been out of the makeshift hospital.
I stripped myself of the tshirt and trousers I was wearing and stepped into the shower
I turned the water on and stood underneath the shower head so the cold water hit me instantly.
It woke me up properly and I quickly changed the temperature so the shower would be much warmer and continued to wash my body.
Once I felt freshened up, I got out of the shower and dried myself off, leaving the bathroom and going into my walk in closet.
I put together an outfit and changed quickly.
Spraying on some Dior Sauvage and deodorant, I left my room and headed down the stairs.
The medical room wasn't hard to find. I found a doctor who was carrying some food on a plate so I offered to take it instead.
Reluctantly, he agreed and told me which way to go so, I followed his directions and entered the room where Ivan was.
Ivan was hooked up to an IV and he was wearing a hospital gown that had short sleeves, exposing his arms that had cuts and bruises all over them.
"Ivan... I- How are you?" I asked, placing the food onto the bedside table.
"I haven't been in a fight in a while, so it kills but it's expected, isn't it?" He replied, laughing about it.
"I should've took her warning the first time." I said, shaking my head.
"Lorenzo, none of us knew what she was capable of. Not even Javier knew. How is he, by the way?"
"We aren't... on speaking terms right now. I uh- held a knife to his girl's neck after seeing what she did to you and lost it but him and Antonio stopped me from doing anything quickly."
Ivan nodded in understanding and gave me a small smile.
"Doctors say that I'll be fine for the ball. Everything should get healed up in a few weeks and there's nothing major on my face so I should be alright."
"Really? The ball is your big concern right now?" I asked.
"Well, yeah. I don't want you to be understaffed and besides, I don't always trust all your men Lorenzo."
