Lorenzo POV

It was 3 am and I couldn't sleep. My mind couldn't comprehend what had happened a matter of hours ago.

Lucia's back. It was her all along. Right underneath my nose.

I was laying awake in bed, staring at the ceiling. The night was cold yet I was shirtless and in shorts.

I peeled the duvet off me and got out of bed, rubbing the tiredness away from my eyes and went out into the balcony.

Ignoring the cold wind that brushed against my skin, I sat on the deck chair and looked over the city.

It was quiet and peaceful. I stifled a yawn and turned around as a vibrating noise caught my attention.

I went back inside and grabbed my phone off its charger and answered the call.

"Lorenzo speaking." I said, not bothered to check the Caller ID.

"I need your help..." The voice coughed out.

"Who is this?" I asked, confused.

"It's Dante. Come to the restaurant. Quick."

I muttered an okay and hung up.

Throwing on some sweats and a jumper, I walked out of my room as I rubbed some moisturiser on my face.

i went down the stairs as quietly and quickly as I could then ran to the garage, not caring about the noise I would be making.

I grabbed the car keys to my Lamborghini and unlocked the doors as I approached the car.

I put my seatbelt on, putting the strap that would've been across my chest behind my back and started the car up.

The sound of the engine starting never failed to disappoint me and I sped out as the automatic doors opened when my car got close enough to sense it.

I didn't bother putting the navigation system on because I didn't need it but instead, I turned some music on, despite it being only four in the morning.

The restaurant was dark and I found Dante almost immediately.

"Almost stepped on me man." He muttered as he shook his head.

"Yeah because making me come to a dark restaurant whilst you're injured and sitting in the dark is a good idea, isn't it?" I shot back.

I helped him up and supported his entire body as I walked him out of the restaurant.

"I'll explain what happened once I'm patched up. I only need some stitches."

"I'll take you back to the mansion so you can clean yourself up and get what you need. Let's go."

Lucía POV

I coughed and spluttered as cold water poured down onto my head, the shock waking me up and causing my heart rate to go up as I took in my unfamiliar surroundings.

My eyes hadn't fully focused so I didn't see the fist that came in contact with the the side of my face.

My head felt heavy and I could feel the ropes that dug into the skin around my wrists which resulted in a burning sensation on my arms.

Another punch from the other side made my head tilt over to the other side.

I could taste the blood on my lips and I grimaced at the taste.

I blinked a couple times and my surroundings got slightly focused.

My hands were tied behind a wooden chair but my legs weren't tied to the chair.

I was in some sort of basement and in front of me were two bald men who were throwing the punches and I could see Anastasia leaning against the wall with a gun in her hand.

"You have 5 minutes with her. After that we sent them a video and we leave her in here."Anastasia spoke to the men.

One of them smiled at me with a wicked smirk, showing off a gold tooth on his top row of teeth.

Without a word, Anastasia walked out of the room and looked the door and the men wasted no time, one of them punching me directly in the centre of my stomach.

I groaned in pain and gritted my teeth as they continued their work, punching and kicking me as I sat there feeling weak because I couldn't do anything.

It went on for the the exact time she mentioned then they took a look at me after all the damage had been done and then walked out.

My eyes felt heavy and I could see the scarlet red of my blood all over my clothes and around the chair.

Several minutes had passed since the two men left and I had been sitting there thinking about Lorenzo and my family.

I hadn't wrapped my head around his confession about his alcoholism. The thought of him drinking nonstop all because of me broke my heart.

I didn't think that it would cause such an effect. I had to think about it later, as my focus at that moment was getting the hell out of this room.

I looked around the room and saw that there were no cameras inside, none that I could see anyways.

With a small amount of energy, my mind had somehow come up with a plan to fight back.

I got up, the chair still attached to my arms, and moved forward a good distance before i ran backwards as fast as I could and heard the deafening crunch of the wood breaking. The back legs of the chair had snapped and broke.

The back of the chair was the only only obstacle in my way, so I contorted my arms over the top of the back piece and got out of the chair.

Now all I had to get rid of was the ropes.

At that exact moment, the door swung open and a low voice shouted "Hey!", then began running towards me with a knife in his hand.

He slashed the knife downwards and I turned with my arms pushing against the rope and he cut the rope without realising what he had done.

Finally, pendejo.

Now the my arms were free, I took all the opportunities that I had and fought him the best I could.

I disarmed him and took the knife, using it to my advantage as I stabbed and slashed at the man.

He lay dead on the floor and I took the time to search his pockets, finding an ID card and a few personal necessities along with some cash and a phone.

I pocketed the cash and the cell and worked quickly as I undressed the victim and changed clothes.

I stood him up and put his dead body on the broken chair, positioning his arms behind the chair before putting my hood up and walking out the door.
