October's POV

Once we sat down Vander sat in front of us, " those kids look up to you two y'know" "mhm"" yeah I know" Vander sighs " yeah you know. But you don't know. When people look up to you, you don't get to be selfish." "We're not-" " you say run, they run, you say swim, they dive in, you say light a fire, they show up with oil." I sighed and leaned back in my chair. "But whatever happens, it's on you two" We both looked at each other before looking back at Vander. "Just like it's on me what happened to us down here. We make ourselves a problem for Piltover, and they will send over the enforcers." "So? Why answer to them? These are our streets. Someone should remind them of that." " she has a point" I said scared to look up at Vander's glare. " you're not hearing me. That path?" He motioned to Vi's hand that I had just wrapped up and my cheek that had a cut across it. "This? It's not gonna solve your problems. Just makes more of them." Vi looked back at my cheek, I guess she must of forgotten about me getting into an actual fight up there. " we clear?" Vander said drawing both our attentions back towards him. He went over to me and put some alcohol on the cuts on my face. "How'd you get this?" It stringed when he touched it and I pushed his hand away before saying " for your information I can fight. I'm just not a fan of blood or violence so I choose not to." Vi laughed a bit at my outburst before moving towards me so she could talk to Vander. " Some idiot was following us" she said while looking at the scratches on my face once again before turning towards Vander. "On our side? Who?" "I don't know, he was after our stuff" "where is it now?" " we lost it." "All of it?" Vi nodded "Good. Nothing can tie you to what happened up there." He turned around to grab me a bandaid for my face. "You're gonna have to lay low for a bit, understand?" "Okay" Vi breathed out. "We're gonna be fine, right?" " I'll take care of it" he started grabbing his stuff to go upstairs. I leaned my head on Vi's shoulder " oh you did put that idiot on his ass, though, right?" We both just laughed he was about to walk out the door but he turned around "oh, and don't you two do anything that I wouldn't do while I'm gone." Then he winked before exiting, we both got pretty flustered and scooted away. I got up and grabbed something out of my pocket before turning to face Vi " well I wouldn't say everything was lost."She looked at me confused before I pulled out a blueprint. Her eyes went wide as she got up to come look at it. That's when Mylo walked in.

"She's a problem" Mylo said sprawled out on the coach. Me and Vi were sitting in the chair beside him "Mylo, I'm really not.." Vi said rubbing her temples. " Do you remember what was in that bag." Mylo interrupted. " the biggest payout we've ever seen and she just lost it." I rolled my eyes before saying "She made a mistake." He scoffed "name one time she hasn't" " she's young" I said again not wanting to get into it with Mylo right now " Don't bullshit me, Tobi. Both of you were twice the person at half her age." " You know what Mylo? You're right" I looked at Vi shocked " There's a bunch of things Powder can't do." " you don't have to tell me twice." At that point I was about to stand up and walk away from both of them. Then Vi spoke up "like complain about everything." "What?" I smirked at Mylo's shocked expression "And brag nonstop" " OK, OK, I see where this is going." " pick fights with the group when we need to focus." "Vi, I-" " and tell strangers on the street that we got a nice haul?" She was now in his face "I- I didn't mean to-" "Powder's my problem" "our problem" I corrected her. " and your problem Mylo, is never knowing when to shut up" Vi grabbed his face " but I'm going to help you with that, ready?" She pointed to her face. " you see this look on my face?" Then she pointed to me. " you see this look on her face? This will always mean it's time to shut up."

Vi led me to the roof entrance of her and Powder's room. We saw Powder working on one of her bombs, a new one. " what's that one called" I said to her revealing my position near her. "Whisker.." we crawled in and I sat next to her looking at her drawing as Vi sat I front of her. "You, want to talk about today?" " what's the point?" Powder said sitting up. "I ruined everything" she started hugging her knees " I always do" "Nobody says that" I intervened putting my hand on her shoulder. "No, just that both of you were 'twice the person at half my age', you heard them" she said closing the bomb. " I'm not a fighter" Vi and I looked at each other, then down at her " you don't half to be" Vi said " look I've got these." She clenched her fist " Tobi's got these," she said point at the mural I had put on the bedroom wall. "And you've got those." She pointed at her inventions hanging in the corner. " they never work." She said putting her head back in between her knees. " they will" I said with a smile while picking up her head to look at me. "Come with me" Vi said to her as they left the room. I thought they might want some time alone so I stayed behind. Until Vi realized I wasn't following and turned around to go get me. "What do you think your doing Sunshine?" I was touching up the wall before she came back and it caught me by surprise. " Oh, I thought you wanted some alone time with Powder.I didn't want to get in your personal space." " never stopped you before" she giggled while grabbing my hand and dragging me outside. We went to a flat part of the roof and sat down. Vi sat on one side of Powder and I sat on the other. " what are we doing here?" Powder asked while looking down. " see that gutter running along the canal?" She grabbed a pipe and handed it to Powder guiding her to what she was talking about. " that's where Claggor got his foot stuck running for enforcers, they thought it was funny so they left them there, he was out all night before we found him." I chuckled at the memory before leading Powders pipe " and that sign, Mylo tripped over his own paint bucket nearly fell off trying to draw a giant middle finger, his ass made that splotch." I said, I could hear Powder laugh and me and Vi shared a look. "And over there." She said leading the pipe over to one fo my old murals " Tobi was trying to draw a big butterfly but ended up having a breakdown halfway and smearing paint across the rest of it" I covered my face as I heard both of them start laughing " Ugh, Vi you said you wouldn't tell anybody, and I was like 9, I didn't have any patience." " and that bunny," Vi continued " when I was a kid some guy took my favorite toy threw it up there, are used to come out here at night and stare at it, hoping maybe the wind or a bird might knock it down, we've all had bad days, but we learn and we stick together." We both hugged Powder. "Oh I forgot." She pulled three glowing blue orbs out. "These were in my pocket,they're from the apartment." " what are they?" " I don't know, should we show Vander?" "No" me and Vi both said, but I spoke up " let's keep this out little secret, Mylo's wrong Powder, you're stronger than you think. And one day, this city's gonna respect us." I said standing up.
