Part 3: The fight

~October's POV~

" Nice haul" the blonde guys in the corner said while standing up. "You could say that" Mylo said but I smacked him slightly as to signal him to shut up. "Heard there was some action across the river." We stopped for a second looking back at him. " Someone, uh, really kicked the nest, huh?" Vi just turned around while saying " is that so?" As we turned around thought we realized some of his goons had blocked us in. By instinct Vi pushed me behind her and I grabbed Powder's hand. I could hear blonde stand up while chuckling and stepping towards us " But now you're, you're tracking this mess of yours through my streets." " Your streets? What makes you think-." She was about to step towards him but I grabbed her arm, pulling her closer to me as Claggor spoke up. "Listen, we don't want any trouble, okay?" This time, the guy on the other side of him spoke up. " Hear that, Deckard? They don't want any trouble" "You know, in my experience, trouble seems to find you. There's no reason this has to get ugly. How about you share a little taste of your treasure there, and well call it even?" I could feel Vi tense us as I was still holding onto her arm and Powder start to squeeze my hand. The Mylo, obviously irritated, " no,no,no, we worked to hard to-" Vi grabbed his shoulder and started to walk forward, letting go of my hand that she had grabbed a minute ago. "Just a taste?" She said innocently. But I knew Vi wasn't going to give in that easily. "Just a -" that's when Vi swings the bag around, hitting him in the face. He fell to the ground and Vi passed me the bag, luckily I had quick reflexes from living with them for so long. I let go of Powder's hand and caught it, but not realizing how heavy the bag was I stumbled back a bit. I was trying to calm down Powder as we watched Mylo tackle a guy. I was never into violence so I tried my best to just focus on helping Powder. That was until a guy got thrown right in-front of us. I stood up and threw the back to Powder as the guy started to stand up looking at the bag she was holding. " RUN POWDER" I yelled as I kicked the guy in the face. As I was fighting with him, I saw from the corner of my eye, a guy chasing her down the ally. I knew I would have to finish this quickly and follow her. So that's what I did. Once the guy was on the floor I started running after Powder and the thug. After Claggor, Mylo, and Vi had finished fighting. They finally became aware of there surroundings. "Where's Tobi and Powder?" As I turned the corner I say Powder backed up against the railing. She was looking between the water and him.I knew what she was thinking "POWDER NO!" But it was to late, she had dropped the bag and it sunk to the bottom of the river. I punched the guy square in the face as he turned around to see where the shouting came from. I just hugged her as she kept repeatedly apologizing. " It's okay Powder, as long as your alright, everything's okay." We walked back to the meeting point where we say them waiting for us. " You did what!?" Mylo got in Powder's face yelling at her. I pushed him back as Powder started apologizing again. "I'm sorry, I tried to fight him off with Mouser but... she didn't work." "Who saw that coming?" Mylo yelled while pushing my hand off and turning around. " we never should have gone over there." I swear- how is Claggor always stressed? I walked over to him as Vi was walking over to us. " None of it matters, the stuff's gone" she walked over to Powder " It's alright, Powder. At least your okay." Then she said she grabbed my hand and pulls me into the elevator with the others dragging behind with Mylo obviously still complaining. "okay? What about us? I get my face smashed in, and she just gets a pass?" "Yup" Vi said before turning to look at me. As the elevator starts to go down she grabs my face to inspect it. " Jeez, they really did a number on you, Sunshine." " it isn't that bad" I said pouting " and look who's talking" I said pointing at her face that was all bloodied up. She laughed and grabbed the hand that was pointing at her while intertwining it with her own. " You have a point, I guess I've just never seen you beat up before." I scoffed at her " well maybe you would have if you had taken me on an actual mission before this. " Never said I wanted to see it". Our walk back was pretty normal. Just Mylo stealing from a fruit stand and older ladies starting us down. As we got up to the building that read " the last Drop." Vi put her hood up so Vander wouldn't see the cuts. As we got down to the basement I told Vi to sit down so I could start patching her up. Mylo started complaining again. " Tobi's so good at patching people up, why don't you ever help any of us. Vi slid her hand around my waist while glaring at Mylo. " shut it, Mylo" He definitely went silent after that. The Vander opened the door and we all shifted from where we were sitting. Me standing up and putting away the med kit. " Everyone alright?" " Never better" is Mylo always complaining? " Good" Vander said with a slight smile. " I don't suppose you can explain why it is that I'm hearing about an explosion and a foot chase topside? Five children fleeing the scene." He said while circling us. " what the hell were you thinking?" He said directed at Vi. " That we can handle a real job." " a real job?" " we got our own tip, planned a route, nobody even saw." "You blew up a building" " that wasn't- " I said trying to claim the both of them down. " Did either of you even stop to think about what could have happened to you? Eh, to them" he said pointing at the other four of us. Me and Vi made eye contact but she looked away. Vander was getting very annoyed by the whole situation, and it was showing. " where did you even get this tip?" Everyone was silent. " we just heard it at Benzo's shop." We all looked at her trying to tell her not to say anything else. "From?" "...Little man." We all sighed looking away. The Vi got up "I took us there." I wasn't going to let her take the blame so I stood up to " -and I took my eyes off Powder, if you want to be mad, be mad at me."" I have told you girls time and time again. The northside's off limits. Him and Vi started fighting again and I just kept trying to calm Vander down. Until Vi said " when did you get so comfortable living in someone else's shadow." The whole room fell silent. "Everyone out" I started to walk out until Vander looked over to me. "Except you October, you and Vi, sit"
