Chapter 9 - Bad Headache, Worse Luck

I walk out there, decked out in the new hero suit Aoyama stiched together. I'm so lucky he was able to.

I'd basically be wearing a tank-top, booty-shorts combo if it weren't for him.

I hurry over to the line of other students as we wait and talk amongst ourselves. Everyone's outfits look AMAZING.

Midoriya's reminds me of a rabbit. Bakugou's matches his personality with those gauntlets. Todoroki is... half of a block of ice. The guy with the lightning bolt in his hair- similar to the one dog's in the movie Bolt- has a leather jacket on with some type of headphones. There's also some weird person who looks like they're trying to be Helmasaur from the Legends of Zelda. Are those engines coming out of its calves-?

Oh. Iida what in the hell-

Before I can actually talk again, the booming voice sounds again. "I AM HERE- TO TEACH YOU ALL!!"

He looks up and down the line of us with his shadows for eyes. Suddenly, he stops looking through everyone. I see his now artificial smile tighten slightly and him almost visually sweat drop (you know, like in manga). I follow his gaze and see he's looking at Midoriya's outfit.

OH SHIT- his costume looks like a green All Might with that snails mask and the two rabbit tufts on his head. I figured All Might would be flattered though, I wonder what's going on there...

I snap out of my internal monologue when I hear All Might's loud ass voice again. "HAHA YOU ALL LOOK AMAZING!!! LET NO ONE SAY THAT YUUEI'S STUDENTS CANNOT CLEAN UP NICELY!!!!!"

I plug my ears while listening to him yell. He's so overstimulating, especially with all of the noises of the students agreeing with him. At this rate, I'll get a real shit headache right before training.

"TODAY YOU WILL ALL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE TRIAL OF BATTLE, AN INSIDE FIGHTING SIMULATION WHERE ONE TEAM WILL BE THE HEROES AND THE OTHERS WILL BE THE VILLAINS!!"

He goes on and on explaining how we will draw lots to determine who will be on whose team. Since there are 21 of us students rather than an even 20 (why does it feel like that's my fault??), one student will be on their own up against another team that will go for the second time. The argument is that the team going again will be tired because of their first match, so that means it'll be fair that there's only one person on the team against them. Said person will have also already seen how their opponents work together and fight, which is a huge advantage.

Uraraka raises her hand and All Might seems to just ignore her as he keeps talking. She was probably going to mention how unfair it is that one person will have to be by themselves.

The truth is, there's many situations where you'll be alone against two or more enemies, especially if you're trying to be a top hero. That person is lucky that they get some advantages though. I pick a folded paper out of the box that's currently being passed around, All Might said it'll have our team letter on it and that we'd get ten minutes before the simulation starts. That being said, whoever draws "K" will have to be completely alone against whatever team has a black dot on their papers. It would suck to not have an ally in the first training class, that person's going to get eaten alive. Good luck to them! I chuckle to myself as I open up my paper...

You've gotta be fucking with me.

I think this at someone, no one in particular. Maybe the gods? All Might? The Pomeranian, somehow?
