"𐒡o, y'all got plans for the weekend?" Bruno asked as we sat in the cafeteria.

"Bruh. We just finished the weekend. What's wrong with you, man?" Rita deadpanned, seemingly irritated.

who wouldn't be? it's monday.

"Next weekend, idiot," Bruno rolled his eyes.

"Yo, I dunno! Lemme eat my food," Rita grumbled.

"Why are you guys so dead?!" Bruno whined.

"It's Monday. Who wouldn't be?" Mia stated dryly.
Bruno didn't say anything after that, he just huffed as his shoulders sagged, eating his lunch.

I just stayed quiet the entire time listening to my "friends'" conversation. Oh yeah - school already started.

faster than you thought huh?

The morning wasn't that eventful, except for my nerves. Turns out, it wasn't that bad, except for the snobby children. I already had my first three classes and I managed to make some friends in between.

The cafeteria seemed dead today. There were a few hushed conversations here and there, but everyone looked so tired and I am tired myself.

Lunch was boring and it went by very quickly. The day was boring and it surprisingly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Before I knew it, I was out.

I walked towards my brother's car, only to see Silas and only Silas. He seemed to notice my presence as I stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to do. He put his phone back into his pocket and glared at me, silently telling me to 'get the fuck in the car'.

I came to know that the twins were at football practice and that I was also in trouble for being friends with boys.

I was nervous, but I don't see a reason why I should be, because according to the rules, I can have friends, boys and girls. It didn't really specify. Usually I would stay far away from men, but the only exceptions are him, my brothers and... Bruno. I mean he seems okay, his personality is one of Marco's. I'll just keep an eye on him though.

The rest of the ride home was tense, none of us uttering a single word.

The car halted as we pulled into the driveway. Silas dragged me upstairs to Alessandro's office on the third floor. I kept quiet and didn't protest, as he gripped our intertwined hands harder, dragging me here and there around the corners, the route to his office, as meaningless tear drops flew into the air as he did so.

He barged into the office without knocking, making Alessandro look at him with a pissed expression, a glare setting on his face.

"What do you want Silas and let go of your sister's hand," he spoke coldly as usual.

"She - " he glared, as he pointed to me, " - has guy friends." he complained, crossing his arms, as his eyes darkened.

"So? What about it? I gave her permission," Alessandro stated, not bothering about his brothers antics.

"So?! So, that means they are boys. You know what-" Silas was cut off.

"I am more than capable of taking care of my sister and as her legal guardian, I trust she is responsible enough to know who she's dealing with. I also keep tabs on, everyone, everywhere. Now, both of you go do something. I have work to do," Alessandro spoke monotonously, as he typed away on his laptop.

i was glad he wasn't treating me like a fragile china doll.

Silas glared at me and walked away, nearly slamming the door in my face as I was about to walk away. I held the door and scurried out of Alessandro's office.
