I turned in my sleep in the middle of the night, again and again, not being able to get any sleep, I picked a book up from my side table and sneaked down to the common room without waking anyone up
I opened a window since it wasn't cold yet just a bit cooler and sat on its sill. I threw my head back realizing I lost my third bookmark. I anyways started reading after finding the page.
Time passed by pretty fast when I heard a loud creak and then...
THUD.....
I jumped up and immediately took my wand out, pointing it straight at.....the marauders? I put my wand down and furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Only half of their bodies were visible because of the invisibility cloak and because Peter and James were on the floor looking at me with a sheepish expression.
"Can... you guys... explain?" I rose an eyebrow, motioning to them
"Well...uhh Rem-Remus and Peter wanted to eat something so we just went to the kitchens" He glanced at Remus who looked nervous
"Uhm...ye-yeah" Remus agreed nodding awkwardly with Peter
"You guys are not good at-" I stopped mid-sentence when I saw the common room door open again and a black wolf-dog enter.
"What the fuc-" ( inspired by Aunt May) Remus jumped up and clamped his hand on my mouth to shut me up, I tilted my head at the dog who was now looking at me with a weird expression, its grey eyes wide
"Oh yeah...him uhh we found him near the black lake and I think he followed us...?" James tried explaining in a questioning tone and continued rambling when all the pieces started to fit in
I looked out of the window to see the sun rising and.....the full moon, then the weird black dog. It all makes sense now.
"Look Y/n, I- well we need to tell you something" Remus cut James' rambling and glared at the guilty-looking dog
"About what? that you are a werewolf? or that" I nodded at the dog "is Sirius?"
Remus opened his mouth to say something but closed it again, the other two boys looked shocked while the dog sat casually looking at me
"H-how did you?-" Remus stuttered trying to get an explanation
"I, Lily, and Lara figured it out last week" I pursed my lips and folded my arms together on my chest "but we didn't know that they are"I looked at James, Peter, and Sirius who was still in his animagi form "animagus".
Remus opened his mouth to ask something again but I cut him off "No, nobody knows of this except Lily, Lara and I "
"You can change back to yourself, Sirius" I looked at the nervous-looking dog which changed into Sirius in a matter of seconds
We all stood there awkwardly for a few minutes not knowing what to say when Sirius walked towards me
"I knew you would figure it out," Sirius chuckled, putting his arm around my shoulder
"Ugh, you smell like water and grass" I moved away from him making him frown at me
"Did you just call me smelly?-" he started chasing me while I ran around the common room to escape him
"You guys really need to shower, it's getting smelly" I ran behind a couch when Sirius changed into his animagus form and jumped on me making me squeal and fall on the floor with Sirius on top of me.
"ugh, you know what? I will call you Snuffles from now" Sirius' ears perked up as he started to lick me all over my face, I laughed while scratching behind his ears when we heard footsteps running towards the common room, we didn't have enough time so Sirius changed into his 'human form', still laying on top of me
"Whatis happening-" Lily stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening at our positions
I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at top of me when realization dawned on both of us, I jumped up and pushed him off of me making him groan and stand up
"Oh, Lils-" I looked at her, my eyes wide
"What are you-"
"IT'S NOT WHAT IT FUCKING LOOKS LIKE" I ran up to her and started explaining after getting a nod from Remus as permission while she eyed the marauders
"Oh so...we... were right?" She nodded towards Remus who looked really nervous
"Y-yeah" I nodded
"Oh Remus, I think you guys should rest and.... have a shower too" Lily looked at Sirius and James who were standing closest to us "and since it's just Saturday today, we can help you recover for the classes and you will go to sleep too Y/n" she added the last part after picking the book I was reading from the window sill
All the marauders and I yawned and agreed before going to our respective dorms.
We found Lara sitting on her bed awake waiting for Lily to return, so we filled her in with what all happened and I went to sleep after an interesting night.
Time skip (ง︡'-'︠)ง (fight me, lmao)
I slept almost all day, Lily got me something to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and some snacks every now and then
It was midnight and I was sitting by y/o/n (your owl's name) near our dorm's window (which was open) thinking about how miserable me and my life is when I saw something fly towards me, I tried looking for my wand or to run to the side but it was too late
I put my hands up to protect my face even though I knew it was almost of no use... but nothing touched me, I looked up after some time only to see...
