Y/n's POV
The object never touched me? I looked around and put my hands down to see a huge boomerang, bigger than the normal sized ones hovering in the air with what looked like blue and purple mist around it, I looked at my hands who had the same mist around them, my breath fastened as I stared at them in disbelief.

"What is this?" I whispered still looking at my hands when I heard something shift, I immediately dropped my hands, holding them together behind my back, and turned around followed by a small thud
"What are you doing up so late?" Lily whisper-yelled rubbing one of her eyes, looking at me from the other
"Oh, I didn't know you were here, mother" I smiled sweetly
She huffed in annoyance "Just go to sleep we have Hogsmead tomorrow remember?" said Lily yawning widely, going back to her peaceful slumber
I chuckled softly and looked at my hands again who were now showing no trace of the mist along with the boomerang which was on the floor
I sighed deeply and looked up at y/o/n who had been watching me the whole time, I knelt down in front of her cage and looked at my hand fidgeting with my ring
"What do you think it is Hootie?" I called her Hootie affectionately because she hootes a lot when she's excited, but y/o/n only tilted her head and leaned her head towards me, sensing the worry, I took her out of her cage and put her on my lap
I caressed her head with my finger which she accepted and looked at me lovingly as if hugging me or telling me not to worry with her eyes

(idk why but this one caught my eyes plus I wanted it like that except the hair on it's beak ¯\_(❛̃ ᴗ❛̃)_/¯)
"Do you want to go out?" I whispered lightly scratching her head and straightening some of her feathers with my other hand, she hooted as low as she could knowing everyone is asleep, I smiled and took her towards the open window letting her fly out
"Come back before breakfast," I said in a low and slightly stern voice which she heard
I was about to close the window and walk-in when I saw another bird flying near y/o/n, I looked more closely to see......
"Fawkes?" I whispered smiling, it's dumbledore's phoenix and my good friend
I anyways went inside and picked up the boomerang, furrowing my eyebrows when I noticed a name written on it in a shabby handwriting, looking more closely I read 'Hagrid', of course, who else would have such a big boomerang I thought shaking my head.
I put it in my drawers noting that I will give it back to him tomorrow and went to sleep.
