The Gilded Raven Awards || Second Edition

I know, I know, I said there wouldn't be a second edition... However, last years awards was a massive turnaround. I honestly didn't expect it to go to such lengths. So, after some serious thinking, I've decided to bring it back. Yay! Awesome, right? 

This year will run a little different. If you were with me for Opulence, that award was run in two rounds, with extensive reviews from our executive judges. However, this will not be the same. Gilded will run in its typical one round with selective judges. Once your genre is full (both genres and judges), you will move straight onto the judging phase, and once the results are in for that particular group, the winners will be announced. Meaning there will be no waiting around. Straight in and out! Sound good? xD

It's every writer's dream to be discovered, encouraged and appreciated. That's what this award aims to achieve, as reflected in our choice of title words.

Guild: A guild /ɡɪld/ is an association of artisans and merchants who oversee the practice of their craft/trade in a particular area, organized in a manner something between a professional association, a trade union, a cartel, and a secret society.

Gilded: Covered thinly with gold leaf or gold paint/wealthy and privileged. This signifies our nobility. Thus we look forward to welcoming you into open arms!

Our Raven represents Prophecy and Insight, allowing newcomers a chance to thrive in turmoil and gain the support and recognition they deserve.

So do come in and make yourself comfortable at the high table. Tie up your girdle and straighten out your hair as we all get ready to dive into this whimsical journey.
