"COME ON!!"
Kyoka growled as she hurled her fists into the Ultimatrix Symbol on Ultimate AmpFibian's body.
A revving sound was heard but the device responded with "Errror.. repairing.. error.."
"Crap its busy trying to repair Ultimate AmpFibian's body as fast as its falling apart, it won't do what I want it to!" said Kyoka. "if the multitasking feature isn't working to this extent then its even worse than we thought."
"Ultimate AmpFibian isn't new to any of us." said Shoto. "We've seen Ben train with it. Heck he tested out his Nerve Puppet move on a bunch of us during training.. but Ben's always been able to at least hold an Ultimate Form for around 3 minutes. Ultimate Diamondhead's fight with Vilgax definitely lasted around that long."
Everyone in Class 1 A, packed in the dark hallway of the space station, only able to see thanks to the torch-like flame held aloft in Shoto's hand looked at Kyoka desperately.
Kyoka knew why. She was the closest to Ben. She knew the Omnitrix better than anybody else in Class 1 A besides Ben himself. But that didn't make her an expert.
This was unneeded pressure here... especially considering the pressure of possibly losing Ben right now.
"Everyone quiet down." said Rachel suddenly, stepping forward, rolling up the sleeves of her pajamas. "Jiro's no alien technician, and panicking won't do Ben any good. We're up against an enemy that's stronger than us overall, and that means that we can't afford to act without a level head."
"But even with a level head, what can we do?" asked Mineta quietly. "Can we honestly think of a way to help Ben here?"
More silence..
At that moment, the faces of Class 1 A became a mixture of two things:
Horror... and solemn grief.
Their friend was going to die and they couldn't stop it..
Kyoka closed her eyes for a brief moment.
"I.. I just feel kinda outclassed you know.. Ben's got all these amazing powers now, and I'm wondering what I can possibly do for him.."
Kyoka looked at Azmuth, rubbing her hands nervously as she waited for Ben to finish trying on his new costume with Mei Hatsume in the Support Item workshop.
Azmuth looked at Kyoka with immense interest as he stood atop the workshop desk, leaning on his small staff. "Hmm.. Kyoka Jiro, you know I spefically updated the Omnitrix to the Hero Omnitrix for a reason. What I learned from Ben, is that ultimately nothing really brings out unity and acceptance and closeness like heroism."
