Richard and Barbara went back inside to the party where all of the sudden the lights went off and some people were starting to panic a bit.

RICHARD: What the hell is going in here?

BARBARA: Why are the lights out?

Mayor March stepped forward to calm his guests.

MARCH: Everyone, please remain calm. Its probably just small wiring issues. The lights will turn back on.

Richard and Barbara went closer to her parents in case something unexpected happens.

BARBARA: Uh, dad?

GORDON: Barbara, stay close to your mother, that includes Richard.

Just a few minutes later, the lights went back on which calmed the guest again.

MARCH: Okay, much better.

Just before they thought that everything was ok, a loud thud was heard nearby like something heavy fell to the ground and a loud terrifying scream.

Everyone looked to the place where that scream came from and to their surprise, a man was spotted dead on the floor with a blade stabbed on his back.

BARBARA KEAN: Oh my god!

GORDON: Get everyone out of this building now! I want all police officers to the perpetrator and get the mayor into a secure area.

The guests screamed in horror as they ran to the evacuation area. Gordon and his police squad searched around the building to find the perpetrator while the others tried to get Mayor March in a safe place.

Meanwhile when Barbara and her mother were running to the evacuation area, they noticed that Richard was not with them anymore.

BARBARA KEAN: Wait, where's Richard.

BARBARA: Richard?

At the other side, the police were in a tight schedule on getting the Mayor out of the building safely as no one didn't leave him in their sights.

(police): We have to get you out of here, Mr. Mayor.

MARCH: What about the people.

(police): Commissioner Gordon is taken care of them, but right now we have to get you out of here before....

The cop was already taken down by a Shuriken weapon at the back and his colleagues followed. Mayor March was in shock trying to wake his guards up.

MARCH: Hey, can you hear? Wake up! We need to move.

The masked assassin dropped down equipped with weapons such as his daggers and the gold talons on his fingers. This was the same Talon that killed Black Mask.

Mayor March gulped his fears and took a few steps back away

Mayor March gulped his fears and took a few steps back away. Luckily for him, Robin appeared to protect the Mayor.

ROBIN: Oh no, you're not getting away this time, pal. Who are you?!

Robin demanded the assassin, who didn't say anything and just tilted head.

MARCH: Robin?

ROBIN: Mr. Mayor, stay right behind me. I'm going to get you out of here.

While Robin defended the Mayor's safety, the Talons threw his daggers towards the Boy Wonder but was able to block it using his Bo Staff.

The assassin threw a smoke bomb to cover his tracks. When the smoke settled, the assassin was gone.

Robin quickly turned his head around seeing the assassin appearing from the other side and about to land a kick at him.

Robin extended his Bo Staff to his Ballistic Shield to block the assassin's kick. Robin and the assassin finally goes head to head using their own combat skills.

During the fight, Robin received a few hits and blocked almost every attack that the assassin attempts. His opponents was fast. He could barely.

Robin grabbed a Snap-Flash to disorient the assassin giving him the advantage over him. Robin bested his opponent and was able to knock out the assassin.

Robin took his breath for a minute and checked if the assassin is fully knocked out.

MARCH: Did you get it.

ROBIN: Yeah, I think so. You alright back there?

MARCH: I'm okay. What was that?

ROBIN: Not sure, but I don't think it's gonna stay down for long. Come on, we have to get to Commissioner Gordon.

When Robin looked back, it was already too late. Mayor March was stabbed from behind by another assassin wearing the exact dark outfit.

ROBIN: NO!

The assassin removed his dagger and let the Mayor collapse to the ground. Robin reaches out to the dying mayor while the second assassin escaped through the window.

MARCH: (*cough) stop... stop them....

The Mayor passes away and there was nothing that Robin could do, except chasing down the assassin.

Meanwhile....
Somewhere on the rooftops, Red Hood was listening to the police channel through the radio that he stole.

(police): Dispatch, we need back up at our location ASAP. We've got a lot of civilians out here. Gordon and the others are still inside finding the perpetrator.

(police dispatch): Copy that, back up is heading to your route.

A smirk formed on Red Hood's face.

RED HOOD: Alright, you little bastards. Time to make my night memorable.

To be continued.....
